Plenty of valid answers already, but also: Humans vs humans is an easy source of conflict. Writers could create nuanced stories of cooperation in the face of apocalyptic adversity, but it's probably way harder to keep that interesting for multiple seasons than bad people are going to try to kill us and take our shit.
Seeing video of Rahaf giggling and playing around on her two prosthetic legs with Ms Rachel made me fucking sob, man. Seeing kids suffering is devastating, but it wrecks me to see how after all they've been through they can still be kids, still have fun and laugh, and knowing that thousands of those children will never even get the chance to experience that again. It makes me feel so sick and empty.
I've used Windows my whole life at home. Last year I realized I kind of hate gaming at a desk since I'm at one all day for work, so I bought a used Steam Deck. Literally have not touched Windows since. I probably don't need a home computer anymore and if I need one in the future, I'm confident it won't be running Windows.
I went to several meetings with some MLMZT folks in my neighborhood and all this time I referred to them as Maoists. I am still so fucking uneducated sometimes it's unreal lol.
Maybe I should start getting to know my fellow vegan coworkers better.
Nah, they're cute. <3
I was curious, but read the multiplayer functionality is heavily limited. I can't see myself going too deep on one of these games without doing everything with a friend.
I knew immediately that's what this was about. Fucking Zionists.
Weak. Wake me up when they do the Cracky Crab movie.
Going to second that rec for Citizen Sleeper. It's definitely a good follow up for Disco heads and perfect on a Steam Deck.
Just started Persona 3 Reload. As a longtime fan of the series, I do find it a little strange. Everything is laid out exactly as it was when this game came out on the PS2, but it's all shiny and high rez. They didn't take the opportunity to redesign much at all, so you see stuff like the interior of the dorms that feels very much like a 2000s era video game building interior where the ceiling is unrealistically high on each floor because they didn't know how to program a camera back then, but again, super modern textures and lighting on top of that. It reminds me a little of those YouTube videos by like beginner game devs who import a bunch of Nintendo assets into Unreal engine and label it like 4K realistic Mario or something. Thankfully the UI sells the authentic experience.
But boy, did they overhaul the main dungeon and combat. That shit is smooth as hell and just as engaging as Persona 5. Can't say I'm a huge fan of the new vocalist so far. She just doesn't give the battle theme the swag it used to. Something about the way she over-pronounces "baby, baby" bugs me, I guess lol.
I can zone out and do cardio, but I don't have the discipline for weights.
You mean the military that's been failing to hit all its recruitment goals for years?
Tim Buckley is not nearly relevant enough for his pedo ass to be memory holed. People just forgot him like they forgot what they ate for lunch last Thursday.
Hexbear
Can't do that without outing the entire staff to ICE, unfortunately.
Hope they enjoy them. Those are the last rare minerals the US is gonna get.
Is Luka in it? Asking for a friend.
It's objectively a good thing that at least some of the vast amounts of e-waste out there is getting repurposed, but it's also funny as fuck that US tech companies are already in scavenger mode over China's halted exports.
Kind of hard to think of a use case for this. Not sure I'd ever trust a piece of tech that big, heavy, and expensive to just transport me into unpaved wilderness far from any of the resources it runs on.
