I’ve dumped FF for Zen and Waterfox.
Zen’s only downside is that it can’t play some DRM media like some sports websites. Waterfox can, so I use it for that.
I wonder if Waterfox allows this. It’s MOSTLY Firefox but without going down the AI trash route.

My Windows 10 PC's only function at this point is to play FFXIV in my living room, so I'm not super worried about viruses or anything.

The mechanics on how Air Ride plays is pretty different than Mario Kart. Instead of just pressing A to go, your little star goes automatically but then when you hold A that starts to slow you down, and that's how you are able to make turns. And then when you release A you get a little boost of speed.
That sounds weird, and it is a little, but it's not just simply another kart racer. It feels much different to play.

I'm really excited for an official way to get TotK in 60fps. No, I don't want to emulate. I still sometimes turn that game on to walk around and stumble upon stuff. It's great. And with that app, I may actually try to get all the Korok seeds.
I won't be surprised if my data is caught up in that even though I deleted my account last year (after not using it really since it was bought out).
I don't trust any of these companies to actually, really, for-real-this-time delete anything, ever.

Does anyone know of a better Discover feed?
Before I jump down a big rabbit hole to try and figure out how to make a custom feed, I thought I may ask some folks here a question I've had on my mind.
I like the Discover feed generally. I like the idea - I can find some posts outside of my own followers. That's nice.
But my issue is that it often throws in posts from 20 hours+ ago. Things move too quickly, and posts that old are...too old. I wish it was at max something around 3-4 hours old.
So therein lies my question: does anyone know of a feed that's basically just the Discover feed but with better time constraints?

This is a pretty great, long form post about the structure of Bluesky, and how it's largely kinda pretending to be decentralized at the moment. I'm not trying to make a dig at it. I've enjoyed the platform myself for a while, but it's good to learn more about how it actually works.

I just started using this app today after wading through bug after bug with Voyager. Like many, Apollo was my go-to app for years and years, so it’s natural to gravitate to the one that looks exactly like it.
However, I consume this type of content mostly on my iPad, and often I’m using Stage Manager with an external KB and trackpad. Voyager in this mode barely works, so I’m just making a post here to say thanks for making this app feel great in this mode. 😎
Really Strange Messages bug (iPadOS only it seems)
So I have a weird one for you guys, and I’d like to see if anyone has ever come up across this one.
This is a Messages bug, and as far as I can tell it’s only on iPad since I’ve never seen this on my phone that has the same chats in it.
Basically it goes like this: I have a group chat with a few friends, and on iPad every so often when I open Messages and it’s on that chat (since that was the last place I left off) it’ll show me not the current state of the chat, but three messages (and only those three messages) from somewhere back in 2022.
I can only scroll up and down as far as those three messages will allow. It’s as if those are the only messages available to me.
However, if I tap the group chat again in the list, it goes back to normal. Loads everything and is fine.
I’ve never seen this happen on my phone, just my iPad. I was hoping the new update would fix it, but alas.
Has anyone ever run into this? I’m about to just tell them we need a new group chat.

I had some wrist issues a couple of years ago and that pushed me to go to the split keyboard route.
I really love this keyboard. I’m someone who actually quite likes the low profile, laptop style keys, so I didn’t know if I’d enjoy this set up. But I quickly grew to love it.
Bright lights and flashing stuff isn’t really my thing, so I’m really glad I was able to find these keycaps that’s just look nice and clean. Underneath are the most silent cherry reds I could find (I’m also not a big fan out loud keyboards. Blasphemy, I know! 😃).
And for my biggest nerd cred: I’m so glad I can save my precious Dvorak layout straight to the keyboard. No longer have to deal with Windows’ layout switching.
