Muffed Lemmy community: [email protected]

Muffed is a completely free and open source lemmy client designed to feel fast and smooth. Currently available on android with iOS support coming soon.

I made a post about this app on here before so i will go over the new features that I have been implemented since then:

What's New

Improved Community Info Screen

The community info page now looks much nicer and contains more information

Improved Home Screen

When logged in the home screen will now by default filter by subscribed. Filter can also now be changed from the tabs at the top of the screen.

Full Screen Image View

Images can now be viewed in full screen with zoom.

Redesigned Community Page

I changed the UI of the Community page to look nicer and be a bit more informative.

You can now edit the posts and comments you made. Do this by pressing the 3 dots to the bottom right of a post or comment you made and select the relevant option

The screen now shows the community you are searching in and a button that when pressed starts searching in all communities

Redesigned Create Post Screen

Upload Images

You can now upload images to posts and comments. Upload images by pressing:

Uploaded images appear at the top of the screen and when uploaded the image link can be copied to your clipboard to be pasted into

So What's New?

Starting with the biggest change first:

Inbox Page

The inbox page actually functions now instead of just being a "coming soon" message.

The Inbox page displays replies and mentions in there own tabs that can be navigated to be swiping or pressing the tab buttons at the top.

To mark the post as "read" press the tick next to the post title.

To view "read" messages press the eye at the bottom of the screen

You can also up-vote, down-vote and reply straight from the inbox page.

Updated Design of Comments in the Search Screen

The comments on the search screen now look much nicer:

Muffed is a Lemmy client for Android (iOS support coming soon) written in flutter.

Muffed is fully free, open source and does not contain any sort of tracking or advertisements. It's always being worked on with updates coming at least once a week.

Ability to create posts

You can finally create posts in Muffed!

To do so simply navigate to the community you want to create the post in while logged in, and press the "plus" button on the bottom navigation bar.

That will lead you to this screen where you can create your desired posts:

Improvements to the "create comment" UI

New UI:

What the buttons do from left to right:

• Closes the dialog
• Previews the comment (New Feature)
• Opens in full page for editing (Coming in next release)

You can now change the server that Muffed uses when not logged in.
