  • I did. They do not intend to build a proper path. They claimed they would close it due to "safety" reasons.

That's what they said. However, and I should probably get a picture of it, they have done nothing. The concrete block they placed was likely pushed down on the floor, where is remains. The new desire path is doing great and has a steady traffic 🤭.

  • Welcome to Southeast Asia! In some countries here road planning is an afterthought. Pedestrian or cyclist access is optional.

I've seen it a few times, both of the developers do better planning on their side (not great, just better) but when it comes to connecting to a neighboring area, not such a great job.

This desire path is right in the middle, so without it, it's a 7km journey left or right from where the picture was taken to the other side.

  • There are plans for a road about 100m away but funny enough, one side belongs to a township developer and the other part to another. The 2 parts do not meet. One side is complete (up to their side of the project) and the other has been blocked with a construction hoarding for the past 2 years.

With the project not seeing completion anytime soon, people started to find their own ways around it.

The desire path is proving its resilience

It's not just a desire path but also a shortcut that saves you 7km. They are trying to block it but it's coming back on the side.

Edit 1: Update, how it was going...

Edit 2: How it's going now... They blocked the previous path and guess what? There is now another desire path, under the tree.

  • Vista, that's what ruined it for me. I had XP Pro, and I loved that it had all the features (IIS, FTP Server, etc.). But when Vista came out, it had so many different versions, each one a gatekeeper for different features. That was just too much. XP was the last one I used for my personal use. I jumped into Linux, head first, and I've never looked back.

This list needs to be updated, he was killed on-screen again on a 2023 movie.

    Give the guy s break!
