  • Fair point. Let's add positively to the discussion then. An admittedly easy place to start is Google search. Here are some alternatives to try:

    • Startpage
    • DuckDuckGo (FYI partially uses Bing i.e., Microsoft)
    • Ecosia

None of the above are perfect, but all are much better in terms of their impacts on others IMO.

  • Hanabi - a pretty simple card game in which you work together to put on a fireworks show. You can't see your own hand, but instead can see everyone else's. Others give you hints about what's in your hand so you can make plays.

10-minute dungeon - a kickstarter table top game where you tear through as many dungeons/monsters as possible in 10-minute increments (I think). It's been awhile since I've played it, but I have very fond memories of it.

  • Slow down, live in the present, and enjoy who and what I already have in my life. That includes being more forgiving to myself and others, worrying less about all of the possible things I could be doing (personally and professionally) and instead choosing one thing at a time to focus my energy on, and being more aware of my own thoughts and feelings, then expressing them in a healthy way.

  • I own a pair of Etymotic ER20XS ear plugs and I like them. I haven't had the chance yet to try them out at a concert, but I have worn them on other occassions. I think they're reasonably comfortable and the sound quality is still good while wearing them.

  • Image Fight on NES. It's a top down scrolling shooter where you fly a space ship and pick up new weapons and attachments. I was terrible at it as a kid but I loved it and kept trying to progress further. I've thought about picking up a copy now but just haven't gotten around to it

  • My routines are a bit more casual and inconsistent than what others have posted. Lately I have been doing intervals on a stationary bike for 30 minutes three times per week. If the weather is nice, I'll go for a walk 30-90 minutes depending on location and weather on days that I don't do the stationary bike.

I eat fairly healthy and almost always at home. I make an effort to get two servings of raw fruit and veg each day, in addition to anything that I put into my meal prep for that week. I don't eat much meat though, so I struggle a bit with protein intake.

In the past I've used MyFitnessPal to track my meals and check protein and calorie intake in particular. It's a decent app and gave me what I needed.

  • Mostly physical because I prefer doing so for all of my consoles. I only buy digital when a game is deeply discounted, I was given a Nintendo gift card, or the physical version isn't available or is prohibitively expensive

  • After 6 years of seriously using Python regularly, I'd probably give myself a 6/10. I feel comfortable with best practices and making informed design decisions. I have no problem using linting and testing tools. And I've contributed to large open source projects. I could improve a lot by learning more about the standard library and some core computer science concepts that inform the design of the language. I'm pretty weak in web frameworks too, unfortunately.

  • I got this game around the time it came out and I remembered dropping it, but not why. Reading your post now makes me think Blockhead was the reason why haha. I should get back around to this and perhaps skip this fight
