I prioritize simple keyboard shortcuts, unfortunately LibreOffice sucks at that and the customization of shortcuts is lacking.
I'll look at the free tiers of some of the online ones to see what it's like for them. I just want a few basics, ontop of the common ones (bold, increase size, etc.)
Credit check. We have a terrible system here.
They call them projectors. They're just way too expensive to be reasonable replacements for the average user.
I agree with the addendum, "... Given the current outlook on the world / our society / what that sentient being would be forced to endure."
I believe there is a possible, though highly improbable future (or, more likely alien world) that exists where it is moral to create sentience because there is significantly less suffering. Where sentient beings care for the well-being of each other.
Sometimes, it's not about changing their mind, but influencing the many others who are less certain in their beliefs who are just reading along.
Or didn't have the critical thinking to understand that even though it's not exactly the same methods - cattle cars, gas chambers, death marches, concentration camps - It's still the same thing.
The United States of America is...
Run by...
Well, you see we have a dumb, narcissistic, destructive, bigoted dictator. And the trade wars he is flaming make people want to not contribute to the economy of the US.
In essence and response to your question, Trump.
Yeah, this move effectively ensures that my next watch / fitness tracker will not be a Garmin. Which sucks because I really enjoy my FR945.

Huh, not my preferred method. I wish I learned typing on Dvorak, but I use a 96% ANSI keychron and I'm pleased with it.
Minimal has something similar, but it's unfortunately huge.
I like tha it runs Android, I wish it was the size of this LILYGO device.
I can't keep going with that much hope
Minneapolis City Council passes ban on landlords using algorithms to set rent
The Minneapolis City Council on Thursday approved an ordinance that would prohibit landlords from employing algorithms to set rent and vacancy rates.
The proposed ordinance would specifically ban the use of algorithms that use “non-public competitor data.” It passed by an 11-2 vote.
Wonsley said many of the corporate property management companies that use this technology operate student housing complexes around the University of Minnesota. College students are “particularly vulnerable to exploitation,” she said, because they’re often first-time renters who are constrained to living near campus.
Genuinely: snacks and a family photo. Maybe my favorite pen.
Genuinely asking, isn't that market manipulation? Seems like Ramping to me.
Actions designed to artificially raise the market price of listed securities and give the impression of voluminous trading in order to make a quick profit.
Stargate Universe, too?
Boost?
Mine too, Thankfully there's a Boost for Lemmy that I like using.
I stopped contributing to reddit after the API shit, but still lurked and saved links. Now I don't use it at all, exported my saved links so I can figure out how to curate them.
A belated but appreciation filled thank you!
I'm following some hashtags and find that many posts with them are in languages I don't know. Is there a way to keep posts to the languages I do know?
Great time to go vegan! Cow dairy farms, in addition to being rife with abuse, have been a big contribution to the spread of H5N1 as well.
Does this work for ice cream?
They were. It's been over 10 years since I worked there, but I wouldn't be surprised if they still are comparatively good, but that's because they have a union.
I shot a dolphin in the head with a rifle. But it's ok because I derived pleasure from it.
I'm not like one of those weirdos that just kills for no reason. I shot that dolphin right in its wet brain and I loved it. In fact, my pleasure from doing so was higher than my vegetarian friend's when they ate a whole block of cheese.
Right now, there's $20k being offered for information about me, but I think that's dumb. I tried to go to the FBI with information about a trophy hunter and the local butcher, but the special agent said he wouldn't give me any money for that and they already knew about it. He did offer me a bacon-topped doughnut on the way out though!
Edit, dang this is very different than Reddit's vcj.
