Everyone is mentioning email. I also use the World Wide Web.
Had to look this up.
It's a quote from Steve Jobs saying he thought computers would enhance minds the way bicycles enhance efficiency of travel.
(Also [email protected] for the other arrangement)
Lens flares, but in IR they look different.

Yup. And of course the slightly staticy
"Er Er Er-Er Errrrrrrr!"
I am pretty sure I know exactly what it sounds like. I had a talking alarm clock from the same era and everything that made sound electronically back then did so by using the same chips with the same samples as everything else. (Including pocket 'trick noise makers' and car alarms - those two categories even had some overlapping samples if I remember right)
...You rang?...
At least the character is an adult. (I just checked.) So I don't see much issue with this besides the usual parasocial relationship stuff.
I seriously think automatic lights should be a legally mandatory feature on every new car, just like they mandated the reverse camera. I don't mind if the driver is able to temporarily turn them off, but it should go back to automatic next time the car is turned on. Also should be tied to the wipers and go on anytime they are on for more than a few seconds. (Whether they were turned on manually or not)
You mean answering them (and accepting wrong answers sometimes) and not generating them with wrong answers, right?

In a way, so is everything else.
It's a charity fundraiser.
At that point would it count as a leap?
No I didn't, but you made me curious so I just looked it up.
It's not a sound I remember hearing anywhere, but I certainly could have and not known what it was at the time so ignored it.
As far as I know it's not commonly used anywhere, and is mostly used for effect.
I think it used to be more common in my parents' generation.
English.

Bug: Relative links don't work
The links inside the linked post are relative links, such as xkcd which is a link to /c/[email protected]

There are unfortunately some subreddits which are still the best place to find timely info about certain topics - for example video game subs run by the developers of the game. Lemmit is a way to subscribe to those while not giving Reddit any more "engagement" or ad views.
The bot that runs Lemmit only posts on its own instance, so users like me only see it when we subscribe explicitly (or the All view I guess, but that's a mixed bag already. Edit: and each user could choose to ban it if they want)
