  • My sister works in customs for a company in Mexico and they are definitely paying tariffs. They need to get a certificate for stuff that is covered under USMECA and iron parts pay 25% on top of any other tariffs. They have an office close to the border that checks which tariffs are in effect at that time because the official publication can't keep up

  • This is probably "newly" enforced but if they fly they should automatically receive an I-94 at immigration and I'd they enter by car they need to specify to the agent that that are staying more than 30 days or travelling more than ~50 miles from the border (I'm not sure about the distance) and apply for an I-94 at the border crossing, it's the same rule for Mexicans, the difference is that the South border has checkpoints where you can't cross with a visa without an I-94

Many who fly would have already received the required I-94 form, and they don't have to register if they've previously submitted it. Most driving to the U.S. aren't handed an I-94

  • it's because most larger concert halls in the USA and the ticket service they use online are owned by the most evil fucking corporation and I am fucking sick of it.

Do you realize AXS is not Ticketmaster/Live Nation?

I'm not defending them but they are different corporations

  • I'm Mexican but I work in the US. I've been coming to the US since I was a few months old since I lived closer to the border. I've never been asked for my cellphone or anything personal. They usually asked for the reason to come into the country, evidence of said reason and (before my work visa) my ticket to get out of the country

That said, since a few years ago you have to tell them your social media handles when renewing your visa, and it has a disclaimer that omission can be grounds for denying the visa
