  • Eh, not so much. The special election is in May, but this ballot proposal won’t be voted on until the general election in November.

Also, this proposal automatically comes up every 16 years, and it’s been voted down the past three times it’s come up.

  • No, thank you. I feel like this would invite way more fuckery than it would solve any problems. Let’s keep the constitution we have, and keep amending it with ballot proposals as needed.

  • It is! I just messed up the link.

Sounds pretty neat, thanks for sharing :)

  • I just want to make sure I really know what websites to avoid so I don’t accidentally do a crime.

  • Over the past ten years, I’ve voted, donated, volunteered, organized, protested, called my representatives, and more. I’ve done anything but sit on my ass and let this happen. And a lot of other people who have done the same are being hurt now, and even more will be hurt before this is over. So thank you for being smug, it’s really going to help us now.

  • Pretty cool! Reminds of the city logo for Grand Rapids, Michigan.

  • Thank you Dana Nessel 💜 she’s an amazing AG, and I’d love to see her run for governor some day.

  • Really? My feed is constantly full

  • I picked a name that has the same first letter as my deadname (though it’s not as dead as I’d like it to be just yet), because it’s a less common letter, and I like that. It’s also the name of my many-times great grandmother, which I think is cool. It is the first one I tried, but it’s felt right and no other names appealed to me as much, so I’m content!

  • “I am a good person.”

My Catholic upbringing really ingrained in me the idea that I’m a fundamentally bad person. Turns out, even if you deconvert, those thought patterns will still plague you. So I have to remind myself often that just because I’m not Catholic or who my parents would like me to be, that doesn’t mean I’m doing anything wrong.

  • How do I short Nvidia so I can cash in on the bubble’s inevitable burst?

  • What an odd thing to say.

  • Ooh, salt is a good one!

  • I’ll plug the podcast Live Like The World Is Dying.

From their website: “How do we live in a world that might be ending? By preparing to survive that end and by working to prevent it. Live Like the World is Dying features interviews with people who think about how to prepare for and survive crises.”
