Hm, I might switch to this, this article worried me a bit
Damn, I don't know the context but this is cool af
This doesn't surprise me tbh, tiktok has been used for protests and organizing and that always pisses off the government more than liking china.
I like this article. Perfect is the enemy of good and all that, and trying to keep some privacy is worth it, especially now.
I've gotta donate the signal and spread the word, it's been my messaging goat for years
I feel like I've seen "Trump claims--Experts disagree" a lot lately
Typical capitalist
Omg this is so exciting, I love jailbreaking devices and jailbreaking my mom's old ass kindle was oddly tricky.
Tbh I think endeavor os is a pretty nice beginner way to get into arch--it was my introduction to arch and the aur.

History repeats itself. I hope those kids' identities were backed up somewhere.
God, I remember the Helldivers 2 fiasco. I can't believe people really thought having to make yet another login was tolerable or a good thing.
I mean, it makes logical sense. You're basically offloading the critical thinking part to the AI.
Yknow a piece of me is glad the military is recruiting less, but the reasoning is terrible.
NGL, I had already learned of collapse and how cooked we were back then, but I thought it was exaggerated and that we had some time to go before things really started to pick up....
Og castlevania is awesome, I gave it a try in an emulator after playing Bloodstained:Curse of the Moon (made by the original developer, and very reminiscent of castlevania)
This movie's development was a mess and it had weird casting, it was basically destined to fail
Of course it breaks laws lol
Ugh, this is gross and terrifying
Damn this is a great article, and is exactly why I'm iffy on digital games still.
Man, I have no idea if this is gonna be good or not. I'm interested to see reviews.

For anyone that used to use Ripcord, but stopped due to the "Routing...." error
Fixes Ripcord's voice chat functionality. Contribute to geniiii/ripcord-audio-hook development by creating an account on GitHub.
For context, Ripcord is a minimal client for Discord and Slack. However, it has had an issue for a few months now, where trying to join voice calls always fails, and the client gets stuck on "Routing..." the issue has gone unaddressed due to the developer having not updated the application since 2021. However, someone on github has made a fix for this issue. I'm posting this here for reference, in case anyone else likes Ripcord as much as I do, and would like to continue using it.

Do blogs count as writing?
Its maybe a silly question, but I've started a personal blog and I'm really enjoying writing posts for it. Does blog writing fall under the definition of writing for this community?
A personal blog made by someone committed to the independent internet.
Programming, Linux, self-hosting, ergo keyboards, IT ethics...
This blog was posted by its creator under a lemmy post discussing the issues with modern websites. It is delightfully minimalist, and the post I linked is a call to action to return the early web. As well, they have some interesting stuff linked on their site.
A goofy version of windows 93
This is a site I saw linked on Xer0's original post(https://beehaw.org/post/426067). It seems like a very fun timesink and I love the colorful icons and ui.
An interesting old-fashioned gaming news website
I saw this site recommended by other users looking for gaming-related news, and for me, one without a lot of the excessive ads and commercialization of game journalism.
Does anyone here play idle games?
I play mainly Antimatter Dimensions and NGU Idle, but I was wondering if anyone else here is a fan of games that require a significant amount of patience.
FOSS Games?
I've been trying to track down some interesting games that fall under foss philosophy. No preferences on genre, I just want to hear it all :)
I've just started playing Metal Gear Rising: Revengance
Wow, what a game. I was inspired by Max0r's videos about it to buy it on steam and play it. So far, I've been really digging the combat and the story is hilarious.
