So right wing politicians are indiscriminately killing prominent elders off?
I see people who openly complain about government workers as no different than those shitheads who are willing to mistreat food service workers.
I guarantee you the majority of actual regular people who are civil servants there are working their asses off discussing what they CAN still do and how best to prioritize the most important things.
Federal employees have been busting their asses the last few months to problem solve where possible around all this bullshit.
Most care about doing a good job despite the bullshit politicians set them back with.
Harass your politicians for change. It does help.
I use it to generically explain things to me. I give it limited things and ask it to break it down or give me alternatives.
No different than googling skills, how I ask gets different results, and sometimes it's far faster than digging and digging through forum posts or textbook style documentation. Other times it's a waste of my time and I quickly move on.
The Bible is a collection of random manuscripts that men long ago decided were "holy" enough. On top of that, there is no "bible." Almost every sect of Christianity has different forms of this Bible, some involving different included or excluded scripts, and numerous varying translations or rewrites.
Has always been astonishing to me how many Christians believe their Bible is the only one. They get in their little echo chambers and just assume their experience is what everyone else experiences. I've seen this ignorance also translate to non-religious topics as well. They just assume their world view is THE world view.
Fuck religion. But especially fuck general Christianity. It self-selects the narcissist looking for an excuse book to wave a magic wand and be absolve of their shittyness.
Just FYI this comment comes from a childhood of abuse followed by "I'll only need to answer to god."
After the big one I think around early or mid-March, I remember seeing it on the front page of CNN the next morning. It was buried in a lower part later I'm the day, but it was at least front and center the morning after the protests.
Even Fox has covered them a lot. I've seen this all spring. They aren't completely ignoring this.
Good. Spread the fascists out on too many shitty platforms for them to organize well.
Millions of government employees work hard every day on so much shit you'll never see or understand that does in fact make your life so much nicer than you deserve when you complain about government workers.
And I'm NOT talking about the cultic worshipped military. I'm talking civilian civil servants at all levels of government.
SOME people are really gonna wonder why everything's getting shittier and never make the connection that their idiotic notions about government led to it.
What are big bucks? This always seems relative.
Miss me yet?
He and the Dems were in the sense that their pithy approach flung doors open for evil to take deeper root.
They had the opportunity to rise against and they failed miserably.
For a guy who made it very clear he only ran to stop this and right the ship in 2020, he sure screwed his legacy.
More like AI generated anything. Turns posts into circlejerk arguments about AI and nothing to do with the post. Sensitive.
Skyrim was already grey rpg. They can't do that again. So now it's brown rpg. Maybe next we'll get fuchsia.
Perfection is the enemy of progress. No politician will ever check all boxes. Isn't this group more about progressive progress in domestic issues?
Business person notes that others doing better in business might be bad for their business.
I like winter. Summer makes me depressed.
The impacts are going to be compounding and felt for decades. People do not understand the work federal employees do, and many federal employees don't even always comprehend how far the work can reach.
It might be impossible to understand the downstream compounding effects.
The drug would either cost $3000 and not covered by insurance, OR would become mandatory by employers and your hours would be fucked.
The way skyblivion has been implemented avoids all this. They have made it very clear they are not in any way using original assets or providing the game. They are mods that utilize both Skyrim and Oblivion game files and you must have both for it to work. It is modding those game files, not providing them.
Once again confusing anti-social or shy with introvert.
OLED every time. The original PS Vita was far superior to the remake with the LCD, and the OLED Steam Deck is way better than the first model. Also the Switch OLED screen is very nice, but the Switch is garbage in general so screw it.

It wasn't good. It got old real fast. Now they're giving him and Schrader their own show? And Schrader says he doesn't wanna just throw his opinions out there cause he dislikes everyone giving opinions all the time. That show is gonna suck.

Ys I Chronicles on Steam Deck. Adol meets Dogi for the first time, again and again if you decide to get imprisoned multiple times.

Today is Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty from the Master Collection, Volume 1 on Steam. This is really just the HD edition from a decade ago though. But they did seem to enhance the visuals a bit, and like the other collection games, it comes with some background material like a Screenplay. This was probably my 20th time playing this game on yet another platform since the original.
Here messing around with soldiers. I like the markers over their heads.
Magazines come in handy.
I also like a lot of the in-game posters. There's

Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana for PS Vita. Fishing edition. Some random fishing pics I grabbed. I liked the fishing part of the game. It even slightly contributes to the story and progress if you catch them all.

Metal Gear Solid from their recent Master Collection, Volume 1. Played mostly via Steam Link and a little bit on Steam Deck. This was playing through the Japanese version (it has pretty much every version included). At this moment I think Snake's saying "that takes care of the cremation."
Here's a bonus screenshot of how this collection handles the games swap to disc 2. It does a disc flip animation showing one disc exiting and another inserting. I liked it.
And here's Johnny freaking out in Japanese.

Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake from the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection, Volume 1. Mostly played streaming to my TV via Steam Link, but also played a bit on Steam Deck. I think this is an English dub of the MSX version. This isn't the NES version. It was an excellent game for its time.
Snake also seems really concerned with Christmas as you can see.

Been having issues with lots of pics and getting errors. Apparently I have to reduce the already potato quality down to even more tater quality just to get it to allow upload.
Anyways, here's more Ys II on Steam Deck. A frozen statue allegedly holds interest in our red-haired swordsman.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning, Fatesworn DLC for PS4 played on PS5.
Played this game to 100% on PS3 originally. Was fun to play it again completely, and then get a bit more story beyond the original release with this DLC.
I have always felt this was an under-appreciated action rpg with a lot of great lore, fun characters, and varying environments.
The world and lore was created by R.A. Salvatore (fantasy writer), art sonehow directed by Todd McFarlane (Spawn creator), and originally funded by Curt Schilling (baseball player), and then at one point the IP was owned by the State of Rhode Island.
So basically you're getting a story in and out of the game Ha Ha. It was wild to watch this over the years come back to life with a re-release.
Note: Apparently lemmy can't handle large pics. Had to shrink it. So it gets potato quality like my previous Vita screenshots.

The best way to see the hero involves kidnapping.
From Ys I Chronicles played on Steam Deck. An excellent older game and story.

Friends and adventurers going into the unknown together. Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana for Vita.
What movie would have ended at the beginning if the people in it acted like normal people?
Day -3 of posting a screenshot from a game I've been playing until I also forget to post screenshots
Ys I Chronicles on Steam Deck. A (very important to the lore) woman that the main character rescues is fainting because she had to walk all the way back to town. What a monster he is to not carry her the entire way! Haha.

Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana on Vita. Getting ready for a Gendarme mountaintop boss fight.
Day -1 of posting a screenshot from a game I've been playing until I also forget to post screenshots
PS Vita game Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana. This is early into the game when you find your first castaway. Adol stumbled on her bathing in the stream.
I personally always loved the Vita graphics and the feel of the handheld, so I prefer this version of the game.
