Is that why I can't seem to find it on my laptop? Skill issue?
Well, he's 4 so he doesn't really care about Fortnite , Minecraft or Roblox yet. Also the tiny retro handheld console I have is easier on his little hands.
I've discovered this recently and am loving playing Mario 3D land with my son.

No, thank YOU
I advocate separate duvets. My wife won't agree.
The romantics never said anything about the farts on thighs and I did not consent to being in anyone else's Dutch oven.
Ideas like this haven't come up for the first time. I expect this idea occurred to Valve and they thought it was not worth the investment of money/manpower/infrastructure.
Valve would either have to publish on Google Play. That would put it in the role of a developer and Valve is not really pushing on its developer role significantly. A huge cut off sales then goes to google.
Or Valve will have to try to make an alternative store.... And that is no small feat. Most people will not sideload apps or install other store fronts. I imagine the proportion of android game sales that Valve can get into will be tiny enthusiast communities, and that won't be anywhere near enough to pay the bills. On this alternative store, Valve will have to get developers to make games.....or again they will have to consider developing games in house to get the ball rolling. Their best bet would likely be to use their existing IP to make mobile spin-offs (DotA card game? Or a wild-rift type MOBA? CS:GO turn based tacticle game? Or try to compete with CoD for the FPS market?).
I can't see any combination of the above that seem like probable success for Valve. It's admirable that they're sticking to their niche and what they know. Pushing further into the handheld gaming and console market has been a much better option for them and they're trying hard. Even in that aspect, the Steam Deck is universally praised......and is selling roughly 2.5% as many consoles as the Nintendo Switch. And no one I know IRL knows about the Steam Deck (other than my brothers, who bought one after I told them I had pre-ordered mine).
Best I can do is internet high five. I smacked my hand on the phone screen. You do the same.
Edit: I'm slapping the shit out of my phone screen. There are more than enough high fives to go around for all of you. Do NOT put any other part of your body to your phone screen as I ONLY consent to virtual high five and no other virtual hand activity.
Is this wholesome or scumbag?
If you're genuinely interested, then there are people studying and talking about this (beyond the expertise of Lemmy). There's a fantastic podcast I listen to that talks in detail and there author has written a book about how minds change. Here's a specific episode (out of many) that is relevant, but I would really recommend listening to all:
Yes, exactly as you've described. The specific combination of Jokers here is making things confusing (and that's the point of the meme). Try taking each issue individually:
Straight can be made with a card gap. So A Q J 9 7 counts as a straight. So the hand will at least be a straight and all 5 cards will score on this basis.
Flush can be made with 4 cards; and spades/clubs count as the same suit. Q J 9 7 count as the same suit and are enough to make a flush. Even though the ace doesn't count towards the flush, it will still count as the straight. If there was no ace then the hand would still be a straight flush.
The way the game scores is tricky sometimes. It gets particularly annoying when I've levelled up flush and my hand also happens to contain 3 of a kind. Then the game counts it as a 3 of a kind instead and counts much lower chips/multiplier.
All 5 cards will be counted in the straight flush. It's a straight (with one card gaps) and a flush (with 4 of the "same" suit).
A dot afterwards? Now that's fancy!
Any luck? Or have you been using a 10year old phone because the stupid phone manufacturers think following Apple is a good idea
What a non-story. "That thing they said they were doing, they're still doing it". Cool.
Autocorrect.....you've screwed me again.
Corporate needs you to fond the differences in these 2 pictures.
Ace will get counted as part of the straight.
Britain looked at this and concluded: Brexit
A retro gaming handheld console has been amazing for me and I want to recommend it

This little handheld console has been so great. My PC and Steam Deck must be so disappointed with me.
I had been following r/SBCgaming for a while and never felt the need to play very old console games. But now it seems that these consoles have really come a long way in what they can play. I saw reviews for the Retroid Pocket 5 and thought it looked amazing. Then I saw the prices of the Retroid Pocket 4 pro and it was a no brainer.
I bought the Retroid Pocket 4 Pro on eBay for £120 (probably could have gotten it cheaper, but I rushed to buy this). The fact that such a tiny and pocketable handheld can run Nintendo Switch games (less demanding ones) really blows my mind. I carry this with me everywhere. It fits in pretty snug t

I made another leverless controller for Street Fighter
I really like Street Fighter and I like making things.....so both interests have combined and my wife thinks I've got a problrm: https://i.imgur.com/OvFO47j.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/cSUfHDl.jpeg
Just don't ask me my ladder rank.
So I took inspiration from Daigo. I figure more buttons = more ladder points

White custom layout keyboard
I previously posted my custom layout keyboard which I use at home. I got fed up of the different layout at work so I made the same thing to have consistency. Really happy with the result. I'm trying to set up macros now to make annoying tasks at work faster.
Finally built a keyboard with my ideal 60% layout
Been thinking of doing this for over a year and finally got round to it. Found parts. Spent hours soldering, lubricating, stuffing with foam and programming QMK. So happy with the final result. It's a joy to use.
Gateron yellow switches. YMDK PCB, backplate and case. Ali Express keycaps.
It's a budget build and none of this is high end......but it has still worked out really well.
Issue: community addresses are not showing up as links
This sort of address isn't showing up as a link in Boost.
I made 2 hitbox controllers from scratch
I've really liked hitbox controllers for Street Fighter 6. I've been really happy with how they've turned out and they're a joy to use. If there's interest I can post the build process/instructions/guide.
Also would be good to grow the community if you're interested: !arcadesticks@lemmy.world
