I must say, in the last months I'm impressed to get many food features. Tab groups, then working again at PWAs, sidebar, profile picker, now weather in search bar...

It's a mix of good features and the small things that are very welcome. I'm quite happy with the current progression and pace. I feel that's not something we had in the last few years

Oh I also really like trine. I think it was a bit hard to run at the time requirement wise. Had a great time cooping with good friends. there was this hectic moment where I was almost dead as the thief, enemy in front of me, steep cliff behind - me screaming to my buddy "do something", as he was the wizard. I panicked, he panicked, I was preparing my jump, he tried to anticipate and build me a platform mid air. So I jump, just for a plank he mistakenly summoned above me to bonk on my head and falling to death. We were in tears from laughing that hard. Great times, thanks for the memory 😄

On the surface, it sounds like you want to be "right" regarding a mostly subjective topic.

But if I read you correctly though it annoys you that he is dismissing the fact that mods can actually add to the experience in several, sometimes quite substantial, ways.

If so, It is not even about the game, huh? It is more about his disability to acknowledge another opinion. I assume it would not urk you as much if he just states that it's not for him - without strange reasoning like not done by Bethesda, therefore bad.

However I don't know your dynamics, maybe he is sick of discussing the case 😜 and if not, maybe you can learn a life lesson here - knowing which fights to take and realising at what point you're dealing with a lost cause 😊
