New accounts make people suspicion of trolling or spamming, but it's hard to imagine interpreting the question here of that.
You know, looking at his hand over his face, I thought, "where's his shield?" Then looking at the other guy's shield, I thought, well, how is that going to do him any good? So I looked it up, and the lance is supossed to be on the outside and the shield is supposed to be on the inside. So that must be the joke. He's face palming.
Chemtrails are full of this stuff.
I don't get it. Was there a caption that was removed? The disqus comments seem to be treating it like a provide-your-own-funny-caption contest.

Do you clean and debone the peepers first or just put them on whole, eyeballs, bones, and all?
Windows. Haven't booted to it in years and am afraid of it fucking up my Linux partition.
Someone I once knew had a few traffic cones they had snatched of the street and put lights in into their living room, as kind of a decorative lamp. Apparently the walls of those cones are thin enough light comes through and the whole thing glowed. Looked pretty cool.
Then why aren't we all getting rich from it? Hint: not just because we don't understand it.
The only way you could use 'thirty two' correctly for that number would be 'one and thirty two hundredths' which would be pretty unusual.
You say it like you think cultural relevancy were a good thing, and not just a marketing tool.
That would be dishonest, I'm pretty sure they sourced that from aliens.

Weird! Ok, I'm less horrified now.
Come to think if it, centipedes are too fast for the thing your dad did. I bet millipides are a lot crunchier though.
But that very impulse is inimical to making friends. You make friends by being open to making friends, and by being interested in other people, regardless of whether they are 'friend material.'
You shouldn't even be assuming you know or can predict what makes someone friend material for you. One can be surprised.
Keep trying. When you visit the ER, you are seeing individual people. Some people are better or worse than at their jobs. Some care more or less, have different biases. Keep trying until you get someone who takes you seriously. Try different hospitals if you can, some are on average better or have ER rooms that are less overwhevlmed. Be insistant that your problem is serious and getting worse.

Millipedes or centipedes? I always used to get the names backwards, but centipedes are the nightmare fuel one (to my mind), lighting fast and all legs. Millipedes, the legs are less dominantly noticeable an I think of as more of a forest-floor, under-a-log kind of thing.
I just found and smashed a couple of centipedes in my house the past couple days. My reaction is instinctual and violent. It freaks me out to wonder what they've been eating to get so large.
It would probably be worth installing steam natively and see if makes a difference. From what I read certain machines and certain games can show a noticeable performance penalty using a container.
Did work end up being more like being on a Klingon ship or Borg?

URnetwork?
Searching F-droid today for 'vpn', something called URNetwork came up, touting itself as better then a VPN, and sounding frankly too good to be true. Duckduckgo searches are finding very little not either going to them (ur.io, or their github, etc) or some site called Product Hunt that I've never come across before. Nothing useful or that gives me confidence even that this isn't a scam.
Does anyone know anything about this product?

First few seconds of videos dimmed
So is this Thunder itself or some app it is deferring to whose config I should look at?
Basically videos start out dim for a few seconds until the video controls fade out. This means the first few seconds of every video are basically unwatchable, and with short videos this is all or most of the video. For example https://lemmy.world/post/17884719

why is the create comment button at the top?
Of the many Lemmy clients I've tried, Thunder is the one I like the best, but the one place I have nits is the creating a comment experience.
After typing the comment you have close you keyboard, to have any hope of the create button being visible (if your comment is really short) and then scroll all the way back up to the top. Isn't the bottom the obviously better place for this button?
Even worse, if in trying to scroll the screen, you accidentally hit the little horizontal bar at the top, you just lose your comment.
Finally, it seems to always lose my place in the thread and put me back at the top after entering a comment.
