  • We used to order drive through on our skateboards.

Recently I walked to a drive through, and they refused service because I didn't have a car at the time. (Their inside was closed).

Guess I know where never to eat again.

  • Are they renting out for as cheap as they can afford? Modest profit aside is fair.

If they're like "oh wow. I can raise from 1800$/mo to 2500$/mo bc everyone else is". That's where it's concerning.

Personally, if I was in their shoes, I would interview and find a struggling family and subsidize their rent from the other tenants for two of the 5 houses for as long as I could afford to.

(I own nothing right now, it's looking bleak)

  • Yes both are PWA capable. However I stand corrected. The McDonalds webapp now redirects you to the play store when you try to order.

Guess they don't want me as a customer. (Not that I'd eat McDonalds anyway).

riders.uber.com is fully functional though, I use it often

  • Fedora.

I've tried them all but found it's the most reliable. It's upgrades are even more reliable than Macos and Windows.

Packages are very up to date but also well tested. Sometimes even newer than Arch for short periods.

    The community is awesome.

I love Gnome, I've found it's more consistent than even MacOs in its design. And it has perfect keyboard shortcuts.

June Pixel feature drop + predictive back

I noticed with QPR3, the back gesture in Sync now shows a black screen during the animation.

Could this be fixed? I read it'll become default in Android 15.

    Are downvotes blocked?

I don't know if it's instance wide or if each instance I've interacted with has this set. However I seem unable to downvote posts and comments.

    Compat report Starfield

I don't know if this is desired, however I personally would appreciate compatibility reports for newly released games.

Since I preordered with early access I can contribute.

    System:

    CPU: 7800x3d
    GPU: 7900xtx Nitro+
    Memory: 32gb ddr5 6000mhz
OS: Fedora 38 KDE (Wayland session)
    Runtime: Proton Experimental

Game launches flawlessly and remains stable when alt+tab'ing out of the window.

Steam overlay flickers if you open it in game but does function.

    Settings:

4k medium, VSync off, no FSR gets me mid 60's fps.

4k medium, VSync off, FSR2 Quality gets me 80fps (with dips into low 70's).

(Default) 4k medium, VSync off, FSR2 with 50% resolution scale. In this configuration I get 100-120fps.

Unfortunately, the game does not have VRR so it locks to the monitors refresh rate (manually set to 120hz in my case).

As such the game does stutter when it dips in frames so you may want to target your 1% lows or avg fps to guarantee a smooth experience.

    8/10

    At medium the game does
