Side columns like that should be illegal. I was driving my stepdad's '21 Silverado 1500 crew cab a few weeks ago and was totally blown away when I almost pulled out in front of someone coming from the right in a big ass truck.
I don't get how these people even feel comfortable driving something where you can't see the road that's in front of you for 10+ meters out. I just wouldn't feel safe, there could be any kind of obstruction you can't see on the road from 10m away but will still fuck up your day and/or life.
Living in the US, the last time I tried to buy "Brioche" bread (Sara Lee was the brand), it was just like eating a sandwich made with a dense shortbread.
This is how my friend in Florida got his bag full of airsoft guns past a school resource officer - he just told her the bag was full of guns. Apparently that works on Florida cops. 🤷♂️
It's been pretty nice. I started slacking on my charging schedule a few months after I got it, so it's degraded a little bit, but I can still make it through an 8-hour shift with Spotify going through my headset. The only thing motivating me to get something else is the locked down bootloader. I'd like to install something de-google-ified, but it's straight up impossible on the US version of the S22.

Outsourcing is extracting wealth from another nation. How can you possibly compare that to lifting ones own citizens out of poverty?
Tbf, my Galaxy S22 did this a couple months ago with a system update. All my battery optimization exceptions were reset, so my alarm clock app wasn't allowed to run in the background. Took me a week to figure out why my alarm wasn't going off, because they also changed the location of those settings to an even more obscure menu in app permissions.
Someone remind me, what's the first chapter in On Tyranny?
This is true. Apple's excuse for it is that it's used for FindMy and locking down a stolen device. So the Bluetooth and GPS and/or cellular radio still function with the device "off".
This is honestly exactly what programming is: breaking down big problems into step by step simple problems. If you've never considered taking up programming before, I'd suggest you try it sometime and see where it takes you. It's not hard to learn, it just takes time.
Gentoo with OpenRC is a good option imo
I'll second Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Absolutely bursting with fun historical knowledge to give context to not only its world but ours. I will admit it's a bit janky at times, and mention that the sequel is coming out in the first quarter of this year I believe.
I was just being overly cautious because it's been a while since I've watched and of their videos, and you know how it goes with YouTubers
I don't know if EmpLemon is considered a controversial character or not, but here's what popped into my head the second I saw this.
Damn Gen Z kids can't even write a full page manifesto anymore smdh

I was disappointed in the graphics, but my stats seemed right. The slide for my top podcasts had black text on a black background, but luckily all my top 5 podcasts have their name on their logo. Still looks kinda stupid though.
You're not really expected to repeatedly remove the HDMI port itself from the laptop
All the people saying buy a dongle are forgetting to mention that dongles stop working all the fucking time. It's yet another potential point of failure that stops ALL work dead in its tracks if it happens.
That shit needs to be in a museum

Oklahoma removes over 453,000 from voter rolls

State officials say the deletions are from routine auditing, but the move has some state leaders concerned.

The Republican party is fully aware at this point that low voter turnout only helps their guy. The fact that they're allowed to do this, especially this late into the election year, is just absolute tyranny. They will always sabotage their own base to increase their power.
