if you're struggling to use the official manager (which fair enough, it can be quite confusing) there are really good third party tools like https://github.com/decipher3114/Revancify or https://github.com/reisxd/revanced-builder
you play a +4 and your opponent gets 4 more pawns

don't blame electron for how bad discord performs, just open it up in your browser and watch as the discord tab uses 1gb of ram after 5 minutes of usage. discord simply doesn't care about performance or resource usage
