If you happen to be located near Amsterdam Linda runs some really good workshops based on his work.

I feel like there have been more kubernetes hate going around recently. Have I been living under a rock and missed some major change around docker, docker compose and docker swarm that gives doubt to using kubernetes?
Yeah, same here! Those autoplaying videos are a nightmare for my brain. They just suck up all my spoons, Speaking of spoons, is that what you meant by "stimulation resistance energy"? I've heard people talk about "spoon theory" but not sure if it's the same thing.
Anyway, I wanted to share something that's been a game-changer for me. It's this thing called ReVanced. Basically, it lets you tweak social media apps and get rid of all the annoying bits designed to grab your attention.
Like, I kinda like YouTube Shorts, but they're everywhere, right? And those massive thumbnails are just too much. I'd end up doomscrolling through them instead of watching proper videos from creators I actually like. So, with ReVanced, I used a patch to hide Shorts from the main page and put them in their own little tab. Now, I can still watch them if I want to, but they're not constantly in my face, pulling me in. Seriously, it's helped me so much with my focus and energy levels. Maybe it could help you too? Just thought I'd share in case it's useful. Cheers!
Can you check the humidity levels in the room you have the printer?
I struggled finding reliable calibrations for my printer and materials until I realised a couple of things.
Are you printing PETG?

I gotta say it really just looks like an uglier version of Renaults Trezor concept car.
As long as you protect that password store with a sufficiently strong password that you store in a password manager that has a sufficiently strong password :P
I joke but yes some sort of password store is what you would use but make sure that password store needs something like a yubikey with a strong private key on it _
The problem is how many random characters can you remember in your head?
A good encryption key would be around 32 characters to form a 256 bit encryption key.
You can do a fun game of encrypt the encryption key with a password but that's just another vulnerability in the chain.
I recommend getting a PGP key stored on a yubikey and then encrypt all your notes with it since it's all in markdown, I store my notes on Google drive and keep them decrypted in memory so that I can still use Obsidian.
+1 for Diatraxis, my team has started using it to align all documentation.
One can dream.
What about envoy proxy?
Nothing else on the market has as low latency implications to workloads that I am aware of.
I'm also curious about that
Doesn't help if there is housing available but it's 3 hours from where my work is :/
What happens to the talent at these studios?
Are all these buyouts just a way to force hire workers.

Yes you can... It's not fun (ಥ ͜ʖಥ)
Where on the spectrum are you?
Inbetween the indifferent and fucking love socializing :P
Now if only I knew how to socialise.
I am a bit confused by the status of that, I know Lemmy instances are already defedrating from meta so it must be part of it right?
I much prefer the Netherlands goverment approach where they host their own Mastodon instance.
Oh yeah ! FOSS and neuro divergence :3
You know what irritates me irrationally today, the saying "miss the forest for the trees"
Everyone is missing out on the good shit in life focusing only on the forest but not the fine details, the forest only exists because of millions of small beautiful details.
I don't know if it's because I'm on the spectrum but I hope it isn't, I wish everyone could experience the same joy I get from all the small things.
For me definitely Harry from resident alien 👽

Help to find the right chair base.
I recently stumbled upon a fantastic swivelling recliner chair on trash day in Amsterdam, but there's one small catch – it's missing its base! The chair itself is in great condition, and I couldn't resist the opportunity to bring it back to life. However, I'm facing a bit of a dilemma when it comes to finding the right chair base to restore this gem to its former glory.
What I want to achieve:
- The chair is a swivelling recliner, so I need a base that allows it to swivel.
- I don't have any information about the chair's brand or model.
- I'm open to both purchasing a replacement base if I can find the right one, or attempting a DIY solution if that's feasible.
- I am located in the Netherlands, so I would prefer to get something local but am happy to order online.
I've tried searching online, but without knowing the specific chair's make and model, it's been challenging to identify the exact base I need. So, I'm turning to this wonderful DIY community for your expertise. Here a
