  • Xperia is massively overpriced, full of bloatware, trash software, 2 years of software updates, and they're absolutely massive. And not just massive but like, insanely tall. Hard to believe they're still around while LG has called it quits.

  • In a world chock-full of $1200+ phones, yeah, I'd say $500 is firmly in "budget" territory.

  • The Pixel 7a is a budget device.

  • Been that way for a long time. They rejected me years ago. Much like Google, MS is in the ad business, and they want your personal details to sell to advertisers. Letting you sign up with fake account is contrary to their interests.

It infuriates me to no end that so many FOSS devs are still using Github. No one fucking cares about privacy or sovereignty until it personally fucks them.

  • Where did you see that?

  • Samsung and Apple make their own processors too...?

  • What laws? As far as I know it's not illegal for children to view pornography. Are you suggesting it should be? And you would have their parents charged with a crime if they were to do it?

  • Boy, what a terrible title. It reads like Trump actually has a modicum of concern about ethics.

  • For real. Let's repeal all the laws around age, and make parents responsible. Drinking, smoking, driving, body art, firearms, etc. Let parents decide!

  • More or less as expected

  • I think they are just Intel N-series mini PCs, which is what I already use with Linux.

  • So fucking petty and vindictive.

  • one of the largest

The source is not this publication, the source is Motorola, as posted by a user on Reddit.

  • I don't have any use for a "nice processor". I have a basic one and I don't have any problems with it.

As for cameras, I think it's pretty clear at this point that it's all about the software. The Pixel was winning blind smartphone camera tests with >10 y/o sensors.

  • Time for lawsuits. Companies need to learn they can't change the terms after the sale.

  • That's good news. I hope it's a budget device with a plastic case, SD card, IR emitter, notification LED, and headphone jack.

  • Oof.

  • I don't know what Block is, but if I come across it I'll be sure to avoid it.
