  • It is probable, but something tells me it's consumer-grade too, without any special tinkering. On Chinese side, this issue is probably tightly controlled to keep profits flowing without getting into trouble. The only horse in this race for them is China itself and they keep the ideal distance to sit on both chairs: profits\influence and no sanctions.

As I've read in russian own telegram channels, a lot of drone stuff that is prefered by the troops (and not MoD) is purchased by either troops themselves or by crowdfunding volounteers, so there's a decentralized source of demand with too little influence to impact chinese producers. I'm pretty sure it's just offbrand game consoles with preinstalled emulators and an SD card full of old games, there are lots of them under $100. Probably, they have a custom bare ROM with just what they need, as I did heard they have a custom firmware for Mavics.

And when we come to MoD, I don't think they'd make these figures visible. If anything, it's more likely that the product is sold as 'computer parts' e.g. a working console without one screw that is screwed in locally. So they'd not show up on these charts even if it's true. At least, that's how 'local production' worked before with some GROUNDBREAKING INNOVATIVE PRODUCTS MoD showcased in autonomous vehicles and robotics department IIRC. Отвёрточное производство or 'The screwdriver production' is a name dedicated to just that, known well before even Crimea.

  • Linux lets\makes you interact with a terminal (and just OS tinkering) more, so you become a bit more comfortable with writing simple commands and then code.

One of the things for basic Python and default libs is sorting your Downloads folder into a more logical filestructure that doesn't need reshuffling and searching for long. Move pictures into Pictures and sort them accordingly to the year\month you saved them for example. Make the script run once a week. Make it write a log file as it runs.

I did this one for the sake of it, but then I needed a piece of code to bruteforce the PDF file password protection, so I used a lib to access and resave this file without a password. On every attempt to open it, it inserted another password from either freely availiable databases of simple passes or well-known leaks (rockyou). It worked nice for PDFs I needed to crack to, actually, just print on paper, but also worked when I tested it with combinations of random words and symbols I came up with. I needed a lib to open a pdf, a list of passwords to try (althought, a bit pre-formatted), and a couple of victims to test on.

  • Wait, W H A T?

I think that you can hear, wherever you are, how my heart skipped a couple of beats and then how my PC roared with all it's fans at a forced redownload of the beloved game.

P.S. Their sound design is always stellar. I already sneaked a couple of VTs pieces into my projects, hehe, and there they fit the new universe perfectly too. With all respects to Mick Gordon, the Witcher 3 of soundtrack composers, I can't remember any new Doom tracks (besides BFG?) like I do old ExMx tracks, and like I do the melody of failure in VT2 that was put in one of it's trailers.

  • You are right from a consumer standpoint and it also perfectly fits the sub we are in, heh.

I think that I'm of another type of gamer, maybe, and I in general learnt to enjoy that more than just good products, especially because of resulting comedy, drama and user content. Ranald's middle finger, huntsman Kruber brushing the map off with a weapon turned into a minigun, never working host migration after someone ragequits, troll-healing Saltzpyre, accidentially throwing the grimoire for the first time, surprise patrols from the thin air... I don't think I could've played that much time if not for these additional shenanigans and laughs after I stopped to care. And FatShark's role there, with their overly ambitious early roadmap, hilarious miscommunications and\or absence, seemingly random decisions before they patch it right - that too played a role there and causes user engagement whatever they want it or not. It feels like your local punk gig: raw, honest, and only a drummer they share between all bands really knows how to play shit. Going into Darktide, I don't have a community anymore 'cause fuck reddit, but dying to numerous bugs, watching all your bad decisions unfold in real time, and seeing teammates mistakingly shooting our Ogrin instead of enemy Ogrins is an on-brand fun of their games, and I'm all for it.

  • Valid points.

Now I'm hoping for a VT3 bringing the best of both worlds.

Was there any announcement of what's to wait from FS? I stopped following the subreddit since I ditched reddit.

  • It's different in all it's equipment, awards, leveling system, but the core gameplay stays the same or becomes even better.

I took a Fanatic with a sabre and a revolver, so it feels just like Saltspyre gameplay.

    Darktide is a banger

As some of you know, there were a couple of L4D-influenced games, like Killing Floor, Dead Island and Yakuza: Dead Souls for some reason.

One of these, Warhammer: Vermintide, developed by swedes in FatShark, flew under radar for a long time, until their second Vermintide game, where, with much pain, they finally brought out the product that is a highly addicting PvE coop shooter\slasher. Just like in games of old, there were certain mechanics you could abuse to become invincible, but instead of bunnyhope, there were enemy positioning mechanics and evasive dodge. It led me to put in hundreds of hours, and due to the PvE nature I rarely had any toxicity as a newby and learnt to care about other gamers as we as a squad were moving through the map to the common goal. I won't say about outstanding voice acting, character writing and stuff, there are a lot of things to love besides the gameplay, but the gameplay is the core to why I liked it.

    BUT

FatShark decided to get EasyAnticheat ther

  • Legacy building is mostly for rich and powerful who came out of age, like in the mid to end of their life's arc. We may dislike it, but even the most despised billionaires are probably planning something not for the community but for their close circle at least, or even their own commemoration, as they feel the death is coming. Be it a continuation of their business empire or an epic tomb like pyramids, there's some though to that.

Musk has never left his college years, always high af, always in the moment although he is pushing well over 50. He is closing that question to himself by making many children, but I'm convinced he never stopped and reflected on what would be there or with them after he dies. He's feeling overpowered, nearly immortal, and I feel like his death would be a sudden striking event that'd catch him completely unprepared.

vbs malware movemenoreg.vbs probably ruined our presentation clickers

One of our Win PCs got infected with that thing. It creates a VB script in appdata, and when it runs, every USB drive you put in it gets everything on it hidden - but a new shortcut with a name of a drive, that actually points at a script leading to a new infection. Updated Win just blocks it, but this one PC was on 1709, nuff said.

Itsohappens we had a thing to present via this PC, and quick, and at that time no one told me about the virus. We tried 4 different clickers one by one (2 A4 Tech, one generic, one Logi) and first three of them stopped working after that. They are all with fresh batteries, their BT adapters weren't recognized as USB drives I assume. What could go wrong?

I don't believe this VB script could by any chance move critical information on BT adapters like it did with USB drives, right? Even if there's a little flash drive with software, it should be set as RO by default. But I don't see any other explanation to that.

I don't have access to any of these three at

How to download youtube clip that got geoblocked or privated?

The clip is Megan Thee Stallion official video of BOA: youtube.com/watch?v=TKQY2ZlIEjY

I have several VPNs that play most videos alright, but this one is blocked via both my direct access and random sites promising me free yt downloads. It stopped to show up in search, yt-dl doesn't seem to work too.

Probably, it's due to DMCA because of their use of the Britney Spears' sample (?), a whole minus track of tik-tok tik-tok what're you waiting for song.

If someone can write a guide, how to access videos in that case, it would be usefull to us all. Alternatively, one can let me just download it from some personal cloud, and I'd be grateful for that. The track itself is barely average, but I did enjoy the work of visual artists there enough to post that request.

Please, tell me if there is another comm to post this.
