  • @juanro49 @jorgeluis @spain puede hacerlo, pero en un principio lo verías... #OpenSource siempre mejor, pero el titular es clickbait de manual

  • @Turturtley @Confidant6198 Its worse, because, actually, even if they wanted to, most Americans are under the tyrannical rule of a Homeowners Association (talk about liberty huh) that forces them to plant grass, and can fine them a shit ton of money if they do otherwise

  • @brownmustardminion I use KDE's Spectacle, and I like it a lot!

  • @harsh3466 how cute! Happy to see you learn hehe

  • @nicerdicer exactly, the only real #privacy gains with web-based providers is if you trust them, or if you personally encrypt all data locally and use PGP

I suggested #tutanota and #proton, because they do all the local encryption stuff for you, so, technically, they are a bit more private than the others, although you still kinda have to trust their web (or use their open-source apps only)

  • @thoughtcrime I don't think that provides much more privacy per-se, at least when compared to GMail. I would try @Tutanota or @protonprivacy , although the latter have had some PR drama recently

  • @HiddenLayer555 I am spanish so PP for me was Popular Party hahaha it took me some time to realize you refered to Peter Poivre

  • @ReversalHatchery I want to respectfully say that I find your answer a bit agressive in tone. I was just trying to give my best shot at an answer, even if I am not a privacy expert, as OP was really just asking for a way to conceal his Credit Card Number, or that's what I understood.

I agree that total privacy will not be accomplished without using a custom rom and more private applications, but I feel like, for the average user, that might be too much work

  • @Wolfie Completely seconding the Revolut suggestion here. For privacy protection, works perfectly!
