Post is fine since you clearly marked it. Thanks!
I don’t recall. Interesting question.
I’m sure he would have been good but I appreciate him opting out for artistic reasons if that is what happened.
Happy Birthday
Thank you Professor!
Those who are interested in the show may want to consider tracking down the David Mack comic run where the character made its debut. It has great art and character-driven writing, https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/139996.Daredevil_Vol_8.
I think the article’s connection to some of the aspects of the source material is relevant as well. As long as the conversation stays civil, I don’t see a problem with its inclusion in this community.
Lol! I am very fortunate to have a wife that not only doesn’t mind my figure collecting but has also given me figures as gifts.
Does anyone have one of the crysknife film replicas? I’m curious if they are worth collecting?

I can personally concur with this statement. 👍🏻
I was in the 90s and am again with the Taylor & Redondo run. I plan on picking that Dan Mora cover up. FYI if you weren't already aware of it, [email protected].
Thanks for sharing. Hope and despair are a choice. One that can be drastically easier to make based on the environment in which they live. Those of us who can more easily choose hope can also offer it to those in need of it through our words and actions. LotR may have been Tolkien trying to create hope for himself. In doing so, he created a work that can also offer hope to others in dark times.
As the owner of a 2002 Honda CR-V, I really want to be intrigued by this car. Since I want the next car purchase to hopefully be for a vehicle that would be kept for another long haul, I think it’s worth waiting until 2025 or 2026 to see what Honda’s own engineered EVs will look like. They will also probably have NACS as well. I’m sure the Prologue will get a lot of buyers though as they enter the EV space.
What a fantastic read! Kudos to the author of the upcoming book "From THE SPICE MUST FLOW: The Story of Dune, from Cult Novels to Visionary Sci-Fi Movies" due out on September 26.
I found the below experts to be very interesting and resonant.
Dune allows us to live in the future, love the artistic intricacy of that future, and then realize, with sobering clarity, that we can’t allow things to end up like that. Dune teaches us to face our fears, to recognize there are plans within plans, and to accept that not every victory is always what it seems. It also makes us look in the mirror and wonder who we are. Like Alia, Leto, and Ghanima, it sometimes feels as though we all have the memories of our ancestors lurking in our minds. The horrible things we’ve done as a species as well as the triumphs are all there, running through our minds at the same time. Dune says there is no way to turn away from the mixed bag of human history. There’s no easy fix for the horrible ways history has unfolded or the ways in which it may repeat itself.
The mystery of the future of humanity is similar. We can’t yet imagine the way in which we get to the future, and we can’t really picture what the universe will look like when the future unfolds. But it is what we want: to survive and to change. Dune says that change is possible. It’s not always all good, but it’s not all bad, either. “The best thing humans have going for them is each other,” Frank Herbert said. We don’t have to be owned by our fear. Because in the end, we can look at ourselves honestly, at this moment, and ask, without fear, “What are you doing?”
As to an answer to the central question of the article, personally, I believe the answer is yes. If enough people get serious about living mindfully, practicing kindness and demanding that those we put in power share these characteristics and values, we can save the world and evolve to be better. As the article asks, "What are you doing?"
Although I enjoyed the movie, I do think it had its imperfections as an adaptation. The second one probably will to for many fans of the novels. These books would probably be best adapted as a multi-season show the the budget of something like The Expanse or more. For my part, I’m glad that more people are getting introduced to the novels through the adaptations to come.
Thanks for sharing that! And a private Piped video at that. You get a 🫡 .
I understand your comment but it is just a hypothetical question sans need. :)
There are reputable studies out there that can answer your question.
Good point. Well-maintained ‘02 Honda CR-V here with 186k miles. I bike to work when weather and climate conditions allow which is most days May–November where I live. We got a second hand Tesla last year because my wife commutes a lot for work. With the latest news, I may try and hold onto the CR-V for even longer than next 2–3 years.
If it works for someone’s specific case than this is most certainly the way. 👊🏻
If presented with a binary choice between minimizing carbon footprint with privacy-evasive EV or sticking with more polluting ICE vehicle and keeping privacy, what would you choose? Which choice is more ethically sound? What is more important between mitigating human-caused climate change or preserving individual human privacy? 🤔
Agreed!

Upcoming Purchasing Decision
My wife and I currently own one EV. We live in the U.S. Midwest where winter months do have an impact on battery performance. Our other car is my older 2002 Honda CR-V. It has over 187k miles on it, but has been very reliable, usually just requiring general maintenance and replacements as the years and miles have come. We have two older dogs that occupy the back of the car for longer road trips. Given announcements of solid state batteries arriving in a few years or so, I am deliberating between buying a compact SUV EV in a couple years or waiting for 3–4 years to see of solid state batteries have arrived in vehicles from good automotive brands. I would be curious what others think. Feel free to share your own situation too.
