  • Community with Troy and Britta and Annie and Jeff. After Dan Harmon was fired and replaced by David Guarascio and Moses Port, they decided to ruin the show in season 4 with awful writing and character choices (probably at the behest of the network). This included a sudden nonsensical Britta and Troy relationship and weird romantic stuff with Annie and Jeff in one episode, which may have been the worst Community episode imo. The whole of season 4 mostly sucked with just a couple of bright spots. Fortunately Harmon came back on board, righted the ship and wrote 2 more enjoyable seasons.

  • Before I read about the Lavender Scare, I didn't realize that Washington was a growing gay hub in the 40s/50s due to the expanded bureaucracy post New Deal. Also, that the anti-gay policies spread to universities and the private sector, which seemed to become the norm after that. Eventually, universities and the private sector cared more about sexual orientation than if you were previously a member of the Communist party. History is important and relevant.

  • Unfortunately the people he is trying to convince are too stupid to think critically or even think logically about the root cause of the issue. He can mask his own incompetence through personal attacks and the idiotic brain-washed base will eat it up, one clip at a time.

  • I wanted to follow-up and say that I got some Marmite, Coleman's mustard and a box of Yorkshire pudding mix. I'm excited to try the marmite in recipes. I tried it on a cracker and it tastes like this "better than bouillon" broth-making concentrate. I don't think I'll be eating it plain on toast anytime soon, but it's very salty and umami.

  • I'll add - dumped Amazon a bit ago and wish I'd done it sooner. Finding lots of other online stores and getting more quality products. Haven't shopped at Walmart in decades. Trying to walk the walk more and it's improving my qol.
