  • esync = alpha version

    fsync = beta version

    ntsync = final release

    Ntsync got rid of performance degradation that can occur with some games under esync and fsync and that’s the why it's allowed to go in the mainline kernel, it has no downside.

  • Linux Gaming @lemmy.ml
    Wanderer @r.nf

    Gamescope not respecting cursor theme.

    Is there a way to make gamescope use my cursor theme?

    Before I write an issue on the GitHub page I wanna ask if someone has a solution to this. It doesn't make a difference if its run with --force-grab-cursor or not, its always this ugly, tiny and barely visible default black X11 cursor. I cant remember when it happened exactly since most games overwrite the system cursor but my rough guess is around 3.15.5.

    gamescope: 3.15.14

    Plasma: 6.2.2 Wayland

    default Plasma cursor theme Breeze

  • Yeah smells a lot like them. Throwing Chinese money away to force a "monopoly" shift didn't work and everyone saw through their practice. Loosing bribed companies left and right (Ubislob and Scam Enix for example). They are desperate and they know they cant count on Fortnite or Tencent forever.

    The Valve typical silence treatment worked wonders on Swiney's mind.

  • Ah yes Kotaku, who's activist openly try to destroy games with Sweet Baby Inc. and their dogshit woke agenda.

    This site needs to die, same as IGN aka Kotaku 2. Nobody wants them, nobody needs them and everything is run by worthless activist.

  • The App Lounge from /e/OS has access to the play store if you choose to log in to Google. It is possible (but not recommended because of a possible ban) to purchase stuff, I haven't done that yet, but some apps want to talk to Google to see if it was purchased and that gives an error.

    For example, Wavelet can't unlock paid status, All-In-One Calculator gives the option to link an email so it can restore paid status, Nova Launcher uses a different app to restore paid status so it works as well.

  • Piracy is a byproduct of a bad service. If I pay for a product I shouldn't be locked to a specific hardware or operating system and those issues are resolved with piracy.

    They probably blame piracy again for their loss in profits instead of throwing out those woke activists and listening to what their actual customers want.

  • I doubt anyone of the SUSE team reading this but I despise the small g, ugly as fuck but the overall aesthetics of the font are pleasing. I still try it out on openSUSE since I'm on the search for a good font.

  • Until they come across the right person inside the EU, then they are fucked. :)

    Anti consumer tos are strictly prohibited. For example you could even sue your way out of a ban when you cheated because they keep you out of consuming a product you paid for.
