  • Dunno. In this day and age, it's possible he's attracted to Dale Gribble.

  • I know the feeling these days... It feels almost impossible to stay afloat with any preexisting medical condition.

At this point, my instincts and the reptile part of the brain saying, "I grow weary of being, nice." There are no rewards for nice anymore, so time to bite.

  • Every 30 seconds. But went and removed the battery -to stop the sound- and it's still running after plugging it back in lol. But I'll be buying 2 batteries from them for $51, and waiting until they're arrive. I guess it's a law in California to have a battery backup?

  • Is the a chance I can disconnect the batteries and use the garage door like an older garage door? Doubt I'll ever need to use the battery backup function.

  • I would nap if the kids would actually nap lol. Is there a chance I can easily just disconnect the batteries and ignore the problem and still have it work on AC power?

  • Would be a better option... cause I've never had the garage power go out in the 25y/o in the old garage door. Paying every 2 years for a feature I don't need seems crazy.

  • I would normally search deeper before asking, but I have all the kids today and everyone's sick with either the flu or strep.

I understand the enjoyment with sarcasm, but please try understanding there's a reason I'm asking strangers who have actually slept in the last 36 hours lol

I have a MyQ Garage Door system and the unit just started beeping, roughly every minute

Wondering if anyone out there might have experience in knowing what's wrong and what I need to do to stop it. Owned it for 2 years, but I didn't do the installation myself.

Also if it needs repair or something, what might it cost me and how difficult would it be to do myself? Thanks in advance, I know someone here always has experience I lack lol

  • That was me, I'm surprised anyone remembered.

  • I appreciate you looking, feels like I can’t find anything on this lol. They really need to make it feel a little less like reading a contract.

  • Oh a support group sounds great actually, my cousin really needs something like this.

  • Appreciate the detailed response, and I figured as much I just was praying someone might prove me wrong. Either way, I’ll head over tomorrow and try helping him check it out.

As for the all set letter, is it a yearly automated reminder you’re good to go?

  • Well that’s sorta good news, I really hope it’s the same when you’ve chosen a provider like Kaiser.

He’s been a little unstable the last few years but is coming back around, and I don’t want him having to deal with any unseen stresses.

  • He seems to agree with his mom, but I’m a little concerned he might need to reapply/select yearly.

He’s a great guy but emotionally not doing great over the last few years, so I’m trying to double check.

Disabled cousin got on SSI, for MediCAL, does he have to enroll yearly, or does it roll over?

My cousin in SoCal recently got on permanent disability last year. So he signed up for MediCal with Kaiser (his last provider), but now it’s 2025, he doesn’t seem to know if he needs to apply each new year.

Tried checking online, but SEO has made it impossible to find out easily. I just don’t want him missing out on enrollment if he needs to do it manually each year.

TIA to anyone who might know the logistics and how the system works. His mom seem is retired and seems 100% sure since he was put on MediCal in mid 2024, it automatically carries over and stays Kaiser. I just don’t want him missing out since he has seizures and his medication cost is high.

  • I mean he’s been found guilty of raping at least one woman… so he’s easily hit one already.

  • It’s easier for humans to shame what they don’t understand, than invest even a few minutes of time trying to understand another’s perspective/issues. It’s why a vast majority of humans are perfectly content with shaming, and started acting as if it’s wholly acceptable to speak like a preteen saying, “You’re weird,” to those struggling.

  • Looks exactly like what I’m looking for but tad more than I can afford at the moment. 😣 Any models more in my budget?

  • Rough but I get where you’re headed, had nothing but experiences with them in the past.

Help, looking for laser printer recommendations, rough around 100-200 range?

There’s so many models and companies these days and hard to know what’s quality and refills won’t cost an arm and a leg, or what long term will last at least half a decade. Previously went with Inkjet printers, but I’m done with them since I rarely print photos. TIA for any recommendations and thoughts on your experiences on this!
