  • It’s hardly ever mentioned in general gaming communities but I have to give a shout out to Squad. Probably my favorite multiplayer shooter ever. The best moments in that game make you feel like you’re in a movie, and the teamwork/communication is unparalleled.

  • I think the important thing is that everyone feels they’re being treated respectfully. Both you and your family.

Maybe you can make a deal with them where you genuinely make an effort to be less blunt, but when the bluntness does come through, they’ll be more understanding that that you simply communicate differently in return. This doesn’t have to be so transactional either — if you just ask them to talk about how there’s some miscommunication and how you really want to fix it, I’m sure they’ll listen. Good luck!

Anyone else feel /r/nba has nose-dived in content and user quality in the past year or so?

It's hard to put my finger on the exact problems but it feels worse than the typical decline of large subs.

This thread posted today in response to the protest shows a lot of what I mean: https://old.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/14cbtjv/who_here_is_in_favor_of_just_replacing_these_shit/

Mob mentality, selfishness, scapegoating, lack of critical thinking... It's just so toxic compared to where it was even a year ago.

I'm excited at the prospect of building a more positive, welcoming place here to discuss the NBA.
