  • I think this line of thought is dangerous. I think you're right that Trump is doing reckless things, and will probably damage some stuff, but cheap stocks do not translate to the working class buying them and taking power. Capital may change hands from one sector of the bourgeoisie to another, but it won't leave the hands of the bourgeoisie. It might spark some unification of the working class because the working class will always bear the brunt of anything that goes wrong, but it's also possible that this frustration may be channeled into fascism.

  • The gulag system was infinitely more humane than America's prison system. They weren't death camps, it's difficult to understand what the stigma around them is other than the fact that they have a spooky Russian name. Prisoners were paid a full wage, and were permitted to leave the prisons for short times.

    Looking for input on a rumor I have heard on a few occasions from crackers RE: Chinese lockdowns

    During lockdowns, were folks actually barricaded in their houses? I have heard outlandish shit like they built concrete walls in front of their doors or bolted them in? This sounds really difficult to believe in the first place, anybody got the real scoop?
