Yeah, I figured by her streaming frequency that she didn’t fully recover from her semi-burnout, hopefully this time she takes the time she needs (and sees a professional if she wants to, that’s always useful even just for sorting out your thoughts!)
That makes sense when it harms business being done in that country, people’s opportunity to find jobs and stuff like that.
But blocking people from working for free on open source projects where there’s nothing to be gained is harming progress, not individuals or countries. That’s not what sanctions were made for.
Here’s an archive link 7 days later, with 800+ replies
“This whole system needs to be smashed and recreated, it’s fine if the country burns itself down”
“Btw you’re the one with blood on your hands, I definitely think basic human rights aren’t negotiable”
Maybe, “what was the philosopher doing for 60 minutes in the mall?”
Well, it does look like he shows her his badge as he’s walking up to her.
…not at all…? He has his hands in his pockets until he stops walking in front of her, then he takes out his open hand to tell her to stop, then he takes out the other to stop her from walking away. When do you think he showed her a badge?
Ohh, so you’re an accelerationist! Now your comments make sense. Well, except the one claiming you’re anti-genocide, but the rest make sense. Kinda.
Yup, sadly Graduation confirmed, on 28 April JST.
Probably in the sense that as you're approaching it in the distance you can see the lines around it. When you're that close you can't see them anymore, but you should've realized that it was a wall way before that point.

Apparently they’re next to the timestamp now (you can see the “↑ 4” on that screenshot, and if you sort this post’s comments by Best, the Futurama meme shows as “↑ 87 ↓ 1”)

I hate how it’s always like this. Some leftists get angry about fictional stuff and fascists use the opportunity to get more people to their side. When will they learn to shut up about things that don’t actually harm anyone?
Gamergate would’ve had no legs to stand on if people just left “gamers” alone. Instead they decided to complain about innocuous stuff and now we have a crapton of young people who suck up to Andrew Tate & co because they feel like the other side of the spectrum hates them. How do we always manage to sabotage ourselves?
I’d say letting people realize that even a picture of the guy with no violent messages attached gets removed is a really good way to get a point across.
Yup, if not worse.
That does suck, it's kinda sad that the most popular Comic-oriented community is that uptight about profanity.
Although, if that happens again I suggest trying on a different community, even if it's not fully comic-oriented or if it's smaller (c/[email protected] for example, it's mostly inactive but it's not uncommon at all for posts from near-dead communities to gain traction anyway).
It wasn’t a rule, there was just ambiguity on whether talking about jury nullification for Luigi’s trial fell under advocating for violence, which led to some confusion (they later clarified that talking about it in terms of encouraging future crimes still counts as advocating for violence, but if the crime already happened or if it’s non-specific it’s all good, afaik).
So in the end that means you can, and already did, cross that line. You just don’t want to do that when it specifically comes to voting.
I still think the ultimate outcome wouldn’t have changed but yeah, rewatching it he does seem a bit more provocative than in the rest of the interview. Maybe it did tick him off a bit too much and he decided to go for it in the heat of the moment.

The tech billionaire had waded in on the latest court ruling setback to Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni's flagship immigration scheme with Albania. #EuropeNews

Italy's President Sergio Mattarella has told Elon Musk to stop interfering in the country's politics, after the tech billionaire criticised an Italian court for blocking the transfer of migrants to detention centres in Albania built through a controversial immigration deal.
Musk, who has been picked to jointly lead a new "Department of Government Efficiency" by US President-elect Donald Trump in his incoming administration, wrote on Tuesday on X that "these judges need to go".
He was referring to judges in Rome who had ruled against Italian PM Giorgia Meloni's initiative to outsource the processing and detention of some asylum seekers to Albania.
In a later post, the Tesla owner wrote: "This is unacceptable. Do the people of Italy live in a democracy or does an unelected autocracy make the decisions?”

The scuffle broke out in the Chamber of Deputies when a member of the populist Five Star Movement tried to give the Minister of Regional Affairs an Italian flag.

Italy’s parliament erupted into violence on Wednesday when a lawmaker was attacked while trying to hand an Italian flag to another MP over a local government bill.
According to local media, the lawmakers had been discussing a bill on so-called differentiated autonomy, introduced by the right-wing government of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
The draft law calls for Italy’s individual administrative regions to be given wider rights of self-governance, which the Five Star Movement is against, fearing it will lead to the “disintegration of Italy.”
During the ensuing brawl, Donno was knocked to the ground and later taken to hospital in a wheelchair.
It looks like the r/Nijisanji mods nuked the last 2 months' posts

How does banning actually work?
So I was skimming again through the comments of a thread, and saw a comment with 42 upvotes, including mine, and no downvotes, as “removed by a mod”. I was curious about which comment was it and the reason, but looking at the modlog, the only action shown against that account is apparently a mod banning it from the site with reason “rape jokes are not tolerated here”. Looking at the account, its whole comment history has been nuked.
Now, I have numerous questions:
-Can mods ban people from the whole site? I thought only admins could do that?
-What does “banning from site” actually mean? Comments were deleted from every instance, does an admin (or mod) from one instance have such “power” over the others?
-I’m pretty sure I did NOT upvote a rape joke, is it really correct to nuke the entire comment history of an account just because of one violation? I’m afraid that could lead to a huge loss of content as the site progresses. Especially if simple mods can do that.

Removed comments issues
I noticed removed comment behavior is particularly weird, on lemmy.world exclusively (so I don’t think it’s software-related?).
As opposed to other instances, where they show up as “removed”, here they don’t show up at all. If it’s a parent comment you can’t see it or any of the replies, and if it’s a reply the parent comment shows with “(X) more replies” under it, which upon clicking just loads infinitely.
Is this intended behavior? It seems limiting (and pointless to have links in the lodmog since they don’t work and you can’t see the context anyway).

Barranquilla-based graphic designer Geraldine Fernández claimed she contributed 25,000 drawings to the film's production.

Hayao Miyazaki’s The Boy and the Heron will premiere in Colombia on January 25. Ahead of that debut, the film is getting an unplanned and likely unappreciated marketing push, as a local woman has gone viral for convincing major media outlets that she drew around 25,000 frames for the film’s production.

Weird logout issue?
Basically, I was trying to view this post from this instance and for some reason the picture wouldn’t show up in regular browsing. So I tried clicking it and multiple times, without fail, every time I open it I get logged out from lemmy.world. Any reason why might this happen?
This is the link in question: https://sh.itjust.works/pictrs/image/85239483-5d4e-4536-8b4d-8a017d10652a.webp

Getting constantly logged out?
I’ve been logged out from my lemmy.world account three times in the past hour. Is something weird happening again?
I’ve been on during yesterday’s redirecting issues, if it matters.

How does the Modlog actually work?
So, I recently came across a post on lemmy.world (my current instance) where every comment showed up as "removed by mod". I was curious to see what happened, so I opened the Modlog, filtered by "Removing Comments" and cycled through all the mods of that community (not sure if there's a better way), but found absolutely nothing. Am I using it in the wrong way? I can link to the post if the moderators confirm it doesn't count as witch-hunting.
