  • Schlock uses a plasma cannon, so I'm sure everything is pretty crispy

  • This has no right to be so relatable đŸ˜«

  • In the US, I feel like one is made with butter and the other is made with lard.

    Schlock Says Meme Template

I thought this early frame of Schlock could make a good meme template.

  • I'm pretty sure most vegans define veganism as "avoiding the exploitation, harm, or commodification of animals as far as is practicable." The fact that this includes humans is usually intentional.

But I can accept that some humans are harming animals at such massive scales that it really would be better for everyone if they were stopped.

  • I may be vegan, but I can make an exception for billionaires

  • I genuinely can't come up with something worse than the actual news. I see real news stories and think "wow, my anxiety riddled brain has been coming up with 'worst case scenarios' for months now, but this? I hadn't even thought of worrying about that."

Like I was not expecting to think "Hitler would be a better President." And for the record, as of a couple months ago I would have said that Hitler was as bad of a leader as any country could possibly have.

But not only is Trump every bit as xenophobic, power hungry, and 'above the law' as History's Worst Person (tm) but his administration is also selling off our national forests, dismantling our educational system, and literally defunding the usda and fda.

At least the nazis supported organic farming or whatever. THAT'S NOT A SENTENCE I SHOULD EVER BE ABLE TO SAY. And yet here we are.

The Republican party, ladies and gentlemen. Speedrunning "worst government ever."

  • Nah that's like 50% at least

  • like if I said I was trans or trans-nonbinary people would think I'm transfem

The word "transfem" exists for a reason. No one should be assuming anything about your AGAB based on your expressed identity.

Are you cis? No? Then you're trans. No one is "more trans" or "less trans" than anyone else.

  • probably should lead with saying I'm AFAB and Nonbinary, then say I'm trans so no one gets the wrong idea

Um, no? Not if that isn't how you feel. Don't let other people tell you who you are or how to describe yourself.

"Transness" is the experience of not aligning with the gender that society placed on you at birth. If you experienced that, if you resonate with the stories of other trans people, if you feel at home in trans spaces - then you're trans.

And if other people don't get that, fuck em. It isn't their call to make. It's not your job to make other people respect you - it's your right as a human being to get the same respect everyone else gets. It isn't something you have to earn.

If you like telling people your AGAB, then please do, but if anyone makes you feel like you have to disclose your AGAB then they're just transphobic. YOU ARE NOT YOUR AGAB. And I'll write that on my knuckles and deliver that message for you any day of the week.

  • You are loved and seen and respected! Don't let assholes get to you. If you have people in your life who you trust, I would recommend interacting with them to center yourself.

... and if you don't have those people, there are some great folks here on lemmy. Please let us circle the wagons around you when you need us to.

  • The other percentage is twink. Still gay, but for guys this time

  • You might not think I'm pretty, but I can pay attention to you, if you want. I don't mind.

    ... I'm like 90% gay tho

  • You might not think I'm pretty, but I can pay attention to you, if you want. I don't mind.

  • Unfortunately I can't live with my parents. I probably won't have kids, but if I do, I doubt they could afford to live anywhere else. Not unless I leave the US. It's rough here.

  • That is kinda how I feel about god. This world is pretty messed up, so if some fucker did this on purpose then obviously they gotta go.

    pretty girls rule

  • I don't see why not. If we had public golf courses, free for anyone to use, that were designed to minimize ecological harm, and incorporated other uses for the space (hiking trails, picnic tables, etc.) then I think it might actually be a really good use of land.

Also it's an easier sell. Instead of telling people to stop doing something they like, you can encourage people to adopt healthier ways of engaging in their hobby.

  • Everyone hates on golf, but I suspect we could play golf - or at least a very similar sport - on less artifical terrain.

There's literally a club for playing on sand, you're telling me you can't make a golf course out of clover or dandelions or whatever? I call bullshit.

  • But I feel like I need to pass in front of my immediate family since I'm sure I wouldn't be accepted. I love them, but they wouldn't get it.

Have you talked to them about this? I hope that they would be more accepting than you fear. Most people are.

Even my deeply conservative religious family reacted better than I expected. I mean, it still wasn't good, but it was far better than I was fearing.

Should I just accept I'll never pass?

That's a question lots of Trans people struggle with. Shoot, there's even a few songs about it.

What I will say is that "passing" is really more for broader society anyways. Once you surround yourself with people who accept you and support you, those people will see you for who you are regardless of what your body looks like. Self-acceptance and self-expression are not only more realistic goals, but I'd say they're more fulfilling.

While I can't bring myself to feel this way about myself, when I look at the other trans women I know, I think they are absolutely beautiful. Even the parts that are more clockable. Hell, especially those parts. Being trans is beautiful. Our identity is something to be proud of.

And when you find the right community, that's how they will make you feel. They will make you feel seen and accepted and loved and celebrated in your entirety without the need to hide any part of who you are.

Because you are beautiful. Even if you don't know it yet.

  • The last name is probably similar to "cha" or maybe "chia"

I know "Xin" is pronounced like "chin"

  • Gotta look for something frequently requiring novel problem solving and adaption to filter for high probability of high general intelligence.

So, to riff off another commenter - league of legends 😅

Boy is it a toxic and frustrating game but I will give it credit where it's due, you have to make good tactical decisions in not a lot of time.

I'm sure overwatch et al. work as well.
