Honestly all this game needs for a 10 out of 10 from me is to be able to take the annoying fan to Dive Rock, cast paralysis on him and give him a little nudge.
I will say, all that aside, there's one thing I hated about oblivion. The FUCKING OBLIVION GATES, ugh so tedious, when I first learned there was mods I think the first one I downloaded was one that let you skip them for my next playthrough, but I would love to see if they somehow make them less grindy in this one
They kind of did fuschia with the shivering isles iirc
Never said I wasn't excited friend, I would love to have another romp through my childhood. I complain because I love this game, and would like to see it how I remember. If it comes out with the brown filter over it, it's whatever, it's oblivion it will get modded back.
But I daresay there's much worse things we could be doing online than griping about an old favorite, harmless fun I'd say.

Detectives running an actual podcast to help generate public interest in cold cases, even managed to solve one nextdoor to my home town, what do you all think?
I know Lemmy is not a police friendly site, but this is actually, undeniably a good move so far with visible results from what I can tell. Leveraging interest in true crime to help solve crime? That's... That's a step forward in my book.
Im just one guy though, maybe there's other perspectives on why this is a bad thing, thoughts?
Right? I grew up in oblivion so when Skyrim came out with its dull brownish greys I was super disappointed, still can't really get into the game that much. Then a miracle happened and the Witcher 3: blood and wine came out. Toussaint was such a breath of fresh air, it reminded me that why I loved fantasy games was to feel like I was in a fantasy
Freakin' VGCATS, my man! What a blast from the past
Just shows how many people didn't actually watch the video ¯(ツ)/¯ that's on them not me
( ͡ᵔ ͜ʖ ͡ᵔ ) Y'all see it right?

Makes some good points, mint is the closest experience you can get to windows. And one thing I think people who are getting uppity about the idea of that don't get is, if you want more mainstream adaptation of Linux, YOU. NEED. THAT.
I remember the story of a man trying to get his mom onto Linux and she broke down crying at one point because learning all the new things was stressful for her, completely turned her off of Linux.
Mint isn't for the sweaty arch-bros of the world, it's a valuable onboarding tool for the rest of us who didn't spend our childhood scripting shell commands to do random shit on our PC's in grade school. IMHO, Adapt to accessibility or get the hell out of the way.

Beneath a forgotten supervolcano in the American West lies a deposit that could quietly disrupt the global energy race. Scientists uncovered minerals with unexpected concentrations. The real surprise isn’t just how much was found—but how it got there.

Former 'Power Rangers" head writer Tony Oliver says he now views the decision to cast a Black actor as the Black Ranger and an Asian actress as the Yellow Ranger as 'such a mistake.'

Oh definitely, there's really no point besides testing your skills or maybe out of curiosity. But I honestly would suggest giving it a red hot go to any young animators out there. It may look like shit but hey, you can say you've struggled with the OGs

Someone help me understand the sonarr to jellyfin workflow
So I've got jellyfin all set up, but I'm having some issues with files downloading from qbittorrent and Knowing exactly how and when they get moved over, either the sonar or jellyfin repository, whichever is the final destination. This is important because my torrenting drive is separate from my media drive. I have noticed some shows and files staying on my torrenting drive while others go over to the media drive. And I'm and to figure out where the issue might be that's causing this, I think I need a refresher on exactly how and when these files are supposed to be moved over. Since I can't find any sort of documentation inside the apps.
Can anybody explain this to me like super simply? I just took an edible and it's starting to kick in, but I still want to figure this out. Thanks y'all!

What games have the most toxic communities?
Top ones I know of these days are siege, but some people have made a case that dead by daylight is pretty bad as well. Like if any of you remember the Xbox 360 Halo days. I think those would pass for toxic today. What do you guys think? Is the most toxic community out there in gaming?

The cost of three days’ work preparing a report for the Metra board about alleged police department misconduct? Around $45,000, documents show. But while the financials of the $1.57 million police d...

How do people even function on a 9:00 to 5?
For like 12 years I've worked in the service industry. That means sporadic hours and shifts that can happen whenever. About a year ago though I got a 9:00 to 5:00 job and it has been absolute hell trying to live my life as I have. How do normal people do this? All the business hours of places that you need to go, the bank, the doctors, the post office. Office they're closed by the time you get off of work. I have to actually call off of work just to get anything done. There's no way the majority of people are living like this, right?

Predictions across the field range from a few months to a few decades, but experts agree—change is coming.
I somehow doubt this, but interesting read nonetheless
