Looking for quality elastic bookmarks

So, I am trying to find quality elastic ribbon bookmarks that won't damage my books. I want this kind of bookmark because I use these types of elastics for my tablet cases and there is one on a notebook I have and it's really satisfying to close out my experience by reapplying the elastic band. Does anyone have any suggestions for a quality set of these bookmarks? Thanks in advance!

  • Hi! I went with a Sony Xperia 1 II. Now though, the prices seem to have come down a bit and I would highly recommended getting a 1 III instead as it has better support for more cell tower bands and is guaranteed to have more RAM.

  • Interesting! Good insider tip, thanks!

  • Seems like it's not an issue: https://developer.sony.com/open-source/aosp-on-xperia-open-devices/get-started/unlock-bootloader Just have to get the key through Sony. Also there isn't a need for Unofficial ports if I were to get one of the devices listed here which are officially supported by LOS

Looking for an affordable LineageOS-supported Sony phone

I would like to buy a Sony phone as I hear they are some of the best devices for LineageOS and are long-lasting. I am in the market for the best-value Sony phone that is supported by LineageOS officially.

My device would have to work with the Tracfone BYOP program (which I think should be just about any phone? correct me if I'm wrong).

Ideally this Sony phone would be:

    • As new as possible to ensure longevity
    • Have a minimum of 8 GB RAM
    • Have a minimum of 128 GB storage
    • Be at most US$300-400 (can be used in good condition off EBay or the like. No links needed, but just a tell of if the price range is possible for the device)
    • In the US$200 range
    • Have a headphone jack
    • Have a microSD slot

(Italics is ideal but not essential)

What phones would fit this criteria? Would love to have a discussion on if my desired criteria is even possible (I'm open to a reality check 😂)

Am I the only one who struggles with the idea of building highways?

I'm a hardcore fan of Cities Skylines 1 and have been playing it for several years now. One issue I have though is how I go about making a highway system. It seems so complex, I don't understand how I can connect place to place in a reasonable way and I feel like the only proper way to do it is to ravage through regions of my city to make massive interchanges and efficient routes. My strategy as a result is just using 6 lane roads as my "highways" and kinda just avoiding the idea of highways altogether. I'm so bad at it that my idea of creating an on/offramp is retrofitting roundabouts. I'd love to hear people's thoughts on this and also how to get my mind thinking of the right ways to make good highways.

Is there some way to make Telepathy work with XMPP

I was able to install telepathy-gabble by adding the Debian Buster repos to my Debian Bookworm install and put in my credentials but it does not seem to allow me to change my status or start a new conversation. Is this even possible today?

  • I love this launcher on my low ram (2GB) tablet, helps me squeeze out performance

Are there any Open Source apps for finding and deleting duplicate files?

Hi Android Community, I previously used "DFCleaner" which was a free, ad-supported app that searched specified folders for duplicate files and let you preview and delete anything that it found. This app now bothers me with a consent form for ad tracking so I've ditched it in protest. Are there any open source alternatives to this app? I've tried looking in F-Droid but couldn't find anything relevant.

Why has the iPod faded out of existence while e-readers are thriving?

I've been fascinated by single-purpose devices such as iPods for music, flip-phones for communication, and e-readers for ebooks. Considering that my interest for these devices has reached an all-time high, I was wondering: Why has the iPod died out while e-readers continue to thrive and see growth? Don't they both serve the same purpose of allowing users to enjoy one (primary) form of entertainment? Aren't both types of devices easily replaceable by a modern smartphone or tablet today?
