Its definitely on the pricey side of the cereal options. Its really extremely different than anything Kellogg's, Post or General Mills is making. High Protein, gluten free, no preservatives, these things unfortunately don't come cheap.
Priced at $8.87 at Walmart, its still more than twice the price per gram of the similar looking cereals but the price of Cinnamon Toast Crunch is totally irrelevant is you need to eat gluten free or want something healthy that still tastes like a sugar cereal.
For everyone with a more standard diet there are plenty of other made in Canada cereals listed here: ShopCanadianStuff.ca/2025/03/09/made-in-canada-breakfast-cereals/

NorthMail.ca – Free Canadian email server with video calls, photo storage, and an office suite: Somehow part of the Seth Meyers' Monologue

I noticed NorthMail.ca which I had previously only know for being a Canadian hosted and owned free webmail provider was now listing Video Calls and an office suite as features.
Oddly enough Northmail was featured in a recent monologue joke on Late Night with Seth Meyers. You can see the joke on TikTok here or at 7:15 on this YouTube video of the show.
I tried out the video calling and it works pretty well though it is not obvious how to do it.
I made a brief guide on how to use the video calling feature in this blog post at ShopCanadianStuff.ca/blog

We do have an extensive list of other made in Canada laundry options (though many of the Canadian companies have imported pods) at ShopCanadianStuff.ca I think all the others are based in Canada, but Costco has a very large distribution network and gets people's attention to look at other alternatives.

Kirkland Laundry pods and Detergent packs made in Canada

I know Costco is American owned but these two Kirkland made in Canada products are made in Canada options for those that want the convenience of pods.
I haven’t seen any mention of these Kirkland laundry packs before, they are labeled as made in Canada from imported ingredients. I know that sounds worse than just “made in Canada” but that’s likely what “made in Canada” means on many products, otherwise they’d specify Canadian ingredients.
See our entire listing of made in Canada detergents at ShopCanadianStuff.ca note that several of the Canadian owned brands sell laundry and dishwasher pods that aren’t identified as made in Canada.

Filing Taxes with Canadian made Software (Deadline is April 30)

Here's a diagram showing all the Canadian tax software options, almost everything is made by a Canadian company except two of the most commonly used.
Please stop using turboTax and H&R Block, you'll likely save quite a bit of money by switching to one of the Canadian owned options too. (H&R Block charges $49.98 for a typical couple, Studio Tax charges $17.50 for up to 10 returns). GenuTax is completely free to use.
Links to each of the Canadian options are available on ShopCanadianStuff.ca

The shock to me is that Kamala Harris is in the poll at all. What rallies is she hosting? Is she even making any media appearances? I wouldn't be surprised though if the DNC pull out the super delegates to say AOC has lost day 1 if there is even going to be a 2028 election at all.
I like this table, I think like this a lot too, but if you make that kind of analysis with anything at Costco you are always going to buy the thing at Costco, which is the fundamental trade off of Costco, giving up variety for good prices on large quantities.
If you compare it to something like Nesquik which Farm Girl has a healthy clone of, I think its a bit more fair: Nesquik has 340g, 1252 calories, 18g protein, and is sold for $6.49 at Safeway. Just looking at those numbers I can see that Farm Girl isn't really a low calorie cereal it is a high protein cereal. I'd be willing to pay the extra premium from Safeway prices to Farm Girl prices but I too would rather buy made in Canada Mini-Wheats at Costco prices.
I think Farm Girl and Truely are primarily meant as specialty diet cereals, the nutritional values are completely unlike the cereals they may look like.

Full Guide to Made in Canada Breakfast Cereals

I hope this will be useful for cereal eaters. The full blog post from ShopCanadianStuff.ca is below (no need to visit the site though the post at ShopCanadianStuff.ca has links to buy most of the cereals online):
At ShopCanadianStuff.ca we’ve got the scoop on Canadian made breakfast cereals and I believe this is a complete list. I’m writing about cold breakfast cereals, not oatmeal, porridge, or anything you’d describe as granola (for a partial listing of made in Canada granolas click here).
It is a food category unfortunately dominated by the American brands Kellogg’s, Post and General Mills. There are, however, several made in Canada breakfast cereal options coming from American brands, Post identifies a number of cereals as prepared in Canada, which is a less significant claim than made in Canada, including Shredded Wheat, Shreddies, Raisin Bran, Weetabix, and Barbara’s Bakery Puffins. Kellogg’s makes in Canada Apple Jacks, Corn Pops, All-Bran (“Buds” variety only), 6 out of 9 var
Hi, can you add https://shopcanadianstuff.ca/ the list? Note it also contains a list of lists to other "buy Canadian Sites" at https://shopcanadianstuff.ca/links-to-other-buy-canadian-sites/
I did similar analysis of some of the grocery store house brands and how many items they are identifying online as prepared in Canada or made in Canada at ShopCanadianStuff.ca/blog Save on Foods (Western Family) and Sobeys/Safeway (Compliments) are definitely the best, drastically better than Loblaws' house brands PC and No Name.
I think a large majority of Canadians are of this view and are trying to buy things made in Canada. The minority advocating to boycott made in Canada products of American brands are usually outvoted on social media and I have yet to actually meet anyone in person who advocates for that strategy which leads me to believe at least some of the online commentators advocating for Canadian owned over Canadian workers are trolls or organized disinformation actors. I've setup ShopCanadianStuff.ca to help shoppers find things made in Canada and don't really provide much opportunity to talk about the ownership of brands because I think it is a distraction.
