  • "Everyone knows something. Nobody knows everything." If you focus on what you don't know, ofc you will not feel smart. But you know something, so focus on that. Even if it's not directly relevant, a lot of advances are made by taking ideas from a similar discipline and applying them to a current problem.

  • Why are people downvoting this? I might quibble with 1 or 2 points, but it's good advice. (no, really, I'm interested in knowing why people are downvoting this...)

  • Goals! That looks like a drum machine and/or synthesizer, what do you think?

  • Waitress is the best supporting character. That time she did that punching-bag strength test was killer.

  • They're still out there. I double dog dare ya to wear em to your next job interview.

  • Also people who send audio samples of laughter from Insane Clown Posse songs.

  • Once might be an error, but twice? I'm guessin it's intentional. Like, why is this couple sitting underwater? The artist prolly put weird little things like that to make people look around for them. Whimsical, bc it's the family section of the train.

  • I don’t know what a “claremont mckenna college” is but it seems like a bag of shite to me. Albeit I’m judging from a quick skim of this article.

Claremont McKenna is a respected college in LA, it's just kinda small (1.5k students, part of a consortium of around 8.5k students in adjoining campuses). This article appears to be part of a "News" update of their web page describing a visiting speaker from Harvard; the talk was about the visiting speaker's research.

  • Yeah I saw that comment but I thought Kickjazz had quit right after Carnival, and this was after Ringmaster. It kinda looks like the Dog Beats cover guy but I thought he'd left too. I guess it could be either one, just hanging out. Well the world is full of magical mysteries.

  • woah... fucking awesome.... can't figure out if the 3rd clown at the beginning is John from the Dog Beats cover or Shaggy's brother John Kickjazz.

looks like the rest of the show is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8FurXL1pTrM audio is very lo-quality basically just what the camera got but what the hell we already know the music.

  • fucking KILLER! the video's good but the music is what makes it. Looks like they're on tour too.

dang I'd really have to travel to make it.... hopefully they'll keep touring....

  • Respect for those albums that have story arcs, even if the songs don't make them immediately obvious.

The Crisis of Existence is the third and final chapter for Lunacy. The Future, which as a full length element and album for LUNACY makes sense as a finality; there is an exclamation point to this long ended journey. The shadow figure has been through hell and back, battling its own demons and fighting for survival alone and together as one.

‘Frozen In Time’ sets the tone where Lunacy left off, this is the transportation and unveiling of the future self, the phoenix rising from the ashes, the snake shedding its skin. Ritualistically lunacy is teleported to a place of transformation where the figure must sacrifice the past and present to move forward towards the future.

lel the writing in those paragraphs is kinda weird tho.

  • Yeah I bet the mom is a large part of the reason Vlad turned out self-confident instead of broken-down.

  • OMG that's awesome. Say hello to next week's meme:

  • Of course, people do love categorizing things and putting everything into its own little box, so we get these sub-sub-niches.

Specifically, building taxonomies seems like a Victorian-era thing.
