  • Eh I played through the game with the rides disabled and didn't find any impact on my experience. It did feel like the only way the combat was fun was on critical mode, despite still being floatier than I'd like.

    Dlc content slaps tho

  • I definitely agree, and the playstyle of the characters are super fun across the board. The only time I had a bad match was when I got a bug where I couldn't teleport as pocket (really nerfing my kit) but in general I love the feel of the game

  • Yep! It's real bad, I had to wait in a line around a building on a Tuesday morning the first election I voted in. One of the big things too is that there are fewer polling centers in the city, and usually more in the suburbs (proportional to the amount of people there).

So while you have a quarter of the eligible voting population in a city go to a single voting center, in the suburbs you have a much smaller group with a less crowded (& usually more convenient) polling area.

  • One odd holdover from TABOR (giant tax structure from the 90s that is still around in one way or another) is that any issue affecting taxes MUST BE PRINTED IN ALL CAPS FOR THE ENTIRE TEXT. It's so funny to see

  • Since I moved from a red state to Colorado it's been mind blowing how painless and accessible it is to vote in this state.

Before every election all registered voters automatically get a mail-in ballot, as well as a detailed book explaining every issue & candidate on the ballot with sample arguments for & against. You can then either mail the ballot or drop it off in very convenient drop boxes that are usually less than 10 min from your place. In some ways it's difficult to not have at least some idea of the political landscape for most voters.

  • Yeah I definitely agree, one of the more interesting things about Oblivion to me is that different writers wrote all of the different guilds. The dark brotherhood is basically the only quest line in the game that gives you different choices of dialogue. Every other quest in the game has only one response, which looking back is pretty laughable as an RPG.

(Oblivion is one of my favorite nostalgia games and I listen to the soundtrack almost every day, it's just fun to point out interesting things in it)

  • It's funny cause for how well remembered this quest is, it's one of the most bugged & easily broken quests in Oblivion. I recently played through and found that for some reason you can just straight up kill guests in front of the others and they react the same as if you were sneaking around

  • Yeah I grew up around that region and you're absolutely right it's halfway between suburban and rural. Everyone I know from the area that's read the book says he comes across as a middle class person cosplaying as Appalachian poor.

  • This is fantastic news for such a classic series, especially since the most accessible versions have just been the remakes with their different take on the games. If anyone wants to see a preview / review of the first two ports Suzi from TheSphereHunter on YouTube has already put out a video covering it.
