Welp, I did get my answer eventually once I went far enough in the video.

I genuinely forgot about this guy. This is just awesome.
Before watching the video, I have to say that I have heard of a 4 player adapter tap for the Game Boy, so maybe he's using more than one of it to get this all going.

I can't believe you guys have to be subjugated to this. And I come from a country where transphobia is the norm.
As soon as I heard this guy say some very hateful comments about Palestinians, I knew I shouldn't trust him.

So I'm guessing I should expect something familiar when trying out Döner. Thank you for this info.

Imagine if this is the only content allowed on Lemmy Shitpost.

Kinda reminds me of shawarma. I haven't tried Döner Kebab just yet to compare, but I'd like to try it out.

I love the Sporty Rooster.

Donald goes rogue.

Drunk driving is one of the leading causes of car collisions, so... you're making great progress.

I see advertising as a necessary evil. It helps small businesses take off and stay afloat (especially when alternatives for being funded aren't viable for them), but at the same time it basically promotes corporate greed by shoving ads down our throats.
Abolishing advertising entirely would be improbable. I just want it to be toned down to the point where we're all comfortable with it. Too much of a good thing inevitably becomes a bad thing. But too little of a good thing is also a bad thing. So things should be taken in moderation. In the case of advertising, the first statement applies; there's way too much of it, it's really in-your-face and disruptive, and we're all getting sick of it.

Strangely, I don't see any people, mainly because they're either so small they appear microscopic in the picture, or because they're being blocked from view by the buildings.

Yet their flagship television program, the Eurovision Song Contest, is still being sponsored.

First there was the Arab Spring.
Then the Balkan Spring.
So this is... the American Spring? Sounds like a brand of bottled water.

Understood.

Check it out for yourself. You might like it.

The original Duke, S controller, and Xbox 360 controllers all have similar D-pads. I actually forgot they switched to a traditional one.

Sadly one. It's my own, and it's one that I wanna get out of so bad.
And tourists LIKE this place?? I mean, good for them, but I just don't see how. Some have even moved here.
And no, it's not Japan. It's actually its polar opposite (not literally). If Japan is known as the "land of the rising sun", my country is the land of the setting sun. It would make more sense before the discovery of the New World.
Give up? It's Morocco.

I'd say Metro was fine, but it was mainly made for Windows Phone and the Zune HD, and in my opinion, only works well on these two. When forcing it on other platforms where it doesn't feel natural, such as the Xbox 360 or the desktop versions of Windows 8 and 8.1, you get a pretty poor user experience due to the design language made primarily with touchscreens in mind. People got confused as to how to navigate their devices.
As for me, I quickly adjusted to Windows 8.1, so I didn't hate it that much.

I think I'd be perfectly fine living up to the age of... idk, 50, as long as I'm living happy and as long as I die happy and painlessly. That is literally all that matters to me.
If your life is so miserable, why would you want to live a long one? You'd rather end it as soon as possible because it's the ultimate escape from horrors. It's why when given the opportunity to have immortality, hypothetically, I always, and I mean ALWAYS, say no.
As for health itself, well... it's your body, do whatever you want with it. I don't care. My only advice is be careful out there when you do get ill.

After leaving Reddit due to the whole API scandal, I noticed that that decision was really a wake up call to take a break off the internet. Actually, it made me delete every "traditional" social media application, with the obvious exception of YouTube. I've never felt better. Being addicted to social media for this long can have some pretty serious issues.
Lemmy is pretty great, so much so that it's a part of my username now (it's more of a pseudonym now). In fact, it being small kinda encouraged me to take breaks off the internet. I've had one for like... 2 months perhaps?

Is the Windows Subsystem for Linux worth it?
I've had a pretty poor experience with it myself, so I wanna see what the Linux community thinks about this.

YouTube does this "suggested video" thing now
Just... why??

Why are videos in 576p resolution not supported by YouTube?
Screen resolution settings go from 480p straight to 720p, with no 576p. I kept wondering why for years.

If there was a city called January, and it hosted an international event (such as the Olympics or the Eurovision Song Contest), people would think it took place in the month of January.
If this was a real city, it would be the largest city of Dooland (not the capital, the capital would be Almara) if that were a real country. Context: the Summer Olympics take place in July/August, the Winter Olympics in February, and Eurovision in May.

Why does the Android version of Jerboa not send me notifications whenever I get a reply?
This is just a concern I had with the client. Back during the good ol' Reddit days, I get notified about a post/comment reply immediately when it happens. I have since left that website, and for some reason I don't know why this isn't a feature yet.
And yes I have tried Connect for Lemmy, I had major problems with that app.
