  • Israel and the US attacked Iran. Iran then attacked Israel, UAE, Kuwait, Jordan, Bahrain, Qatar, and Iraq right afterword.

If Iran didn't want to be accused of attacking other countries, they shouldn't be attacking other countries.

  • They deemed them a supply chain vulnerability.

This is the justification for phasing them out and (presumably) not renewing the contract. Happens all the time. Usually with less angry internet posts and more quiet paper pushing.

It's one of the reasons DoD things can be expensive. DoD contractors aren't allowed to use the cheap Chinese supplier, for example.

  • He doesn't say anything about breaking a signed contract. Simply that Anthropic will be phased out and no longer used by the government.

As a corollary, I doubt Anthropic's contract will be renewed when the current one expires.

    Edit: Grammar

  • Anthropic took a stance against their AI in weapons and battlefield management systems. The government wants that ability and therefore chose to ban Anthropic as a supplier for government systems.

  • I would be interested in the graphs, but with Sports and Nintendo games removed. Nobody has accused them of brown.

Did shooters specifically turn brown? This analysis doesn't refute such.

  • I remember a year or two ago it was suspected Ukraine put a HIMARS on a barge in the Black Sea. As there was some Russian stuff exploding that otherwise shouldn't be.

Tankers Vacate Al Udeid Air Base As U.S. Citizens Are Urged To Leave Israel Immediately

  • All they had to do was make a copilot app that you install from the Windows store. Nobody would have disliked them for that. They probably could have even pre-installed it and people would have only groaned.

But, no, they have to just keep pushing and pushing, regardless of how many times you say no. As Rossmann says: A rapist mentality.

  • This is one of the main reasons doctors don't 'just give you a battery of tests'. Not only is that expensive, but if you are running dozens of tests, the chance one of them gives a false positive is pretty high. So now you not only wasted a pile of money, but you also think you have some rare disease you don't actually have. So you waste even more time and money treating that disease you don't have.

Doctors run tests for things they think you might actually have, which diminishes the false positive chance.

  • I had to go back and read your post twice because I was getting Xbox One X and Xbox Series X confused with eachother. I even know there is a difference, but holy god are those names bad. It's still confusing even when you know to look for it. I have no clue who decided that was a good idea. Then again, I look at their recent naming schemes and I guess I should just be happy they didn't fuck up the Xbox branding even harder.

Some products from just this one article. (Note: Microsoft 365 Copilot App, and probably others, aren't even in the article.) Can you tell me the difference?

    • Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat
    • Microsoft 365 Copilot
    • Microsoft Copilot
    • Microsoft Security Copilot
    • GitHub Copilot
    • Microsoft Copilot Studio

  • I sold all my back-stock of RAM. It helps relieve pressure and all that RAM was destined to sit in a box for years otherwise.

  • These are a massive liability every storm. You have to winch them down and get them into a blisteringly massive hangar that can hold them. Then get them set back up after. Every. Single. Storm.

Furthermore, you don't save on land use, as you need the massive, expensive hangar for each right at their base.

Ground-based wind-turbines just feather their blades and lock their gearbox. Very simple.

  • Boo!!

    Jump
  • Every piece of land has been taken and retaken over and over. The only limit to our knowledge of such is how far back we have historical records of an area. Humans going back through all times and societies sucked ass.

  • Yeah, this is standard practice everywhere for home buyers.

If you rent, you should still get a Radon test done in your residence. You can do it yourself, no reason to wait for your landlord (I personally have an AirThings meter but you can also get single-use tests that a cheaper). Anything above 2 pCi/L is concerning and is remediated by regularly refreshing the air in your home; above 4 is cause for installation of a radon mitigation system.

Basements are particularly vulnerable, as well as first-floor rooms.

  • I remember being very annoyed, for years, that Microsoft stoped releasing their flagship gaming franchise, Halo, for their most popular platform: Windows. For years, only Halo and Halo 2 were released for PC, and Halo 2 was almost unplayable due to Microsoft's massive cockup with Games for Windows Live. It was clear they didn't give a shit about their customers as they tried to force them to re-buy hardware and pay a monthly fee, while simultaneously sabotaging gaming on the PC.

It wasn't until just a few years ago where Microsoft released their most popular franchise for their most popular platform. I'm still salty about that.

God damn am I happier now though. I don't have an xbox or a Windows computer, I'm not beholden to their decades of compounding bad decisions.

  • ...allows for synchronized control of both skis, as well as various driver modes. It also allows for seamless connectivity with the Frigid App.

Why would I need an app for my skiis?
