Do you have to run the keyboard's software?

I have a Corsair K100 and it does all the normal keyboard stuff without any software even installed on my machine. Also, the RGB lighting can run from on-device memory, which is super nice.

But will it also lead to overall cost savings? Because that's what really matters in the Late Stage Capitalism Machine.

My sense is that no, it will NOT lead to cost savings due to lawsuits and whatnot, which is probably part of the reason workplace safety exists as a government function. But the Cheeto in Chief doesn't understand or care, so here we are again.
