  • you'll have to excuse those of us who no longer trust the CDC after they intentionally lied to the public numerous times during the Covid-19 pandemic and contributed to the death and permanent injuries of US Americans who became infected due to their misinformation.

I hear this same line from anti vaxxers

  • but people still lack the fucking common sense to quarantine themself after symptoms go away but when you're still contagious. Smh

CDC says to go back to work and resume normal activities 24 hours after symptoms start to improve but they may still be present.

    https://www.cdc.gov/media/releases/2024/p0301-respiratory-virus.html

What common sense are you relying on here and why does it go against CDC guidelines?

  • Hm, well maybe I'm biased, as I haven't even seen a hybrid or an electric car.

You haven't seen or used either hyrbrid or electric but needed to share that hybrid was objectively better?

This is why training AI on user content leads to so many terrible answers.

  • In my experience Google has a history of discontinuing support at very short notice.

Has this happened earlier than their announced timelines? Google has publicly stated 7 years of support for these phones.

Google absolutely EOL many products, but from what I know they never guaranteed support for those and went back on it later.

  • If you want to play modern or even recent games and indulge your locked down metwork desires I recommend getting a secondary PC just for gaming and run a separate vlan to fully separate traffic from your existing setup. There's really no realistic threat vector there barring a state level actor or something equally serious but I'm happy to be corrected.

  • I may have misused the term, thanks. As far as the split trigger my understanding is that's for cases where your finger or other object unintentionally partially pulls the trigger.

There's an additional safety on glocks for drops where the firing pin is blocked by the trigger bar unless the trigger is pulled in a manner that satisfies the split trigger mechanism.

  • There's no manual safety to disengage on Glock handguns, a common standard issue sidearm.

They have safeties such as a split trigger, but they're intended to stop negligent discharges. There's no switch or button to turn it on and off a "safe" mode.
