  • It can be really frustrating. I was recently at a Chinese restaurant with a group as the only vegan. One person at my table talked about how they are passionate about conservation and their love for animals while eating pork and chicken. I have to bite my tongue in those situations to maintain sanity and friendships.

  • The meat and dairy industry use vastly more water and also contribute to climate change through greenhouse gas emissions, while almond trees help to reduce CO2. Maybe focus on that instead of buying into the animal ag propaganda.

  • You need a tilt-shift lens to properly preserve the lines of architecture in photography. When taking a photo of a building, especially from below, with a wide angle lens so it captures the whole structure, the angles get distorted.

  • I got a Tempur-pedic from Costco and it's worth every penny. Costco gets last year's models and rebrands them for a fraction of the price.

The best part is, there is no time limit on their return policy. So, you buy a mattress from Costco, put a waterproof protective cover on it, and then you can return it for a full refund years later no questions asked as long as there is no visible damage.

I got a queen and had it for a few years before we decided we wanted a California king. Returned it in person with no issues and traded up.

  • I heard this was coming out and just read the book Mickey 7 that it's based on.

For anyone interested, I highly recommend reading it before watching the movie. It's a fun, quick read. The movie doesn't follow the same events so nothing is "spoiled" for you by reading, just a good way to get into the universe and character.

  • Have you considered adoption? There are SO many kids out there who need loving homes. If you're worries about children regretting their existence, at least you could provide a safe place for those that are already here and also fulfill your desire to be a parent.

  • I just watched Didi and it seems to do a great job with the millennial coming of age story. They're a bit younger than me, but I related a lot to the characters and setting.

Dunno if it's THE definitive movie, just thought I'd recommend because it's recently on my mind.

  • Donate it to a trustworthy local charity rather than throw it away. The damage is done with produced items, so there's no need to add to a landfill if someone else in need could get use out of it.
