  • So, in I think 2021 North and South Korea were about to sign an agreement which would include an end to war. Then I think Sullivan wrote on behalf of the US that they do not agree with it fully and that was the end of it. Does anyone have a link perhaps?

  • The "2 year reprieve" means more "if you haven't admitted to ALL your crimes and we discover something else during next 2 years, it's a death sentence for you".

It's not to prevent you from doing crimes while you are in prison, but to make sure you admitted to all your crimes.

  • There never was a clear position beyond Crimea, but things just kept escalating on both sides from there, so now it’s also Donbas. Since Putin keeps avoiding a full scale invasion it doesn’t seem likely to me they are after the whole Ukraine, but I could be wrong ofc.

  • Mediazona seems to have a decent system for tracking Russian casualties and they put Russian KIA at minimum 75k, meaning there’s at least 150k more casualties, for a total of 225k. Ukraine could be having up to 10 times more casualties, but these are not irrelevant numbers for Russia either.

  • I met just one 50+ year old Uyghur lady in Switzerland, who was quick to point out she was oppressed in China and that “they aren’t even allowed to learn their language at school”.

She couldn’t get staffed on any project because, officially, her language skills were pretty bad, but she complained to me that she is being discriminated against, because “she is from China”.

Not a year later, her Swiss employers fired her and I sincerely doubt she had much success afterwards.

  • Note that for pro-war “Russia is losing more” etc. comments in that article, NYT is quoting Frederick Kagan, of the infamous neocon Kagan family, Victoria “Cookie Monster” Nuland married into (for another also neocon Kagan brother), while Institute for the Study of War is “ultra-hawkish” neocon “think-thank” of which another Kagan, Kimberly Kagan, is the president of.

They are all quite literally far-right fascist Project for the new American Century psychos. Thank you liberal NYT for bringing us their valuable opinions.

  • Yeah, but imagine the Chinese communist delegation landing in Washington in this Sci-Fi plane, while Americans watch and begin to think they have been lied to by their elites all along...oh yes, it's going to be worth every drop of that fuel.

  • Additionally, I have more and more average Americans online telling me they want to move to Europe, so things are pretty bad over there as well. They just don’t know Europe is worse off.

Europe shot itself in the legs by decoupling from Russian gas, then shot itself in the head by placing tariffs on green technology because it basically has to come from China.

It’s so over for Europe it’s not funny. I am afraid things can only get worse…

  • US/Europe are immensely benefitting...

Proxy war in Ukraine is an absolute disaster for European economies and the US are not doing so well either.

Kinda hard to be reasonable when fighting for survival

Correction, western-backed Ukronazi regime is fighting for survival. Regular Ukrainians are fighting for survival by evading forced conscription by Ukronazis.

Oh, and a giant PR failure

So, AFU is fighting for PR, while Russian forces are fighting a war of attrition. Guess who will prevail.

And women are at fault of getting raped?

Those responsible for proxy war in Ukraine are sitting in Washington, not Kremlin.

    Citation needed

Ukronazi MoD regularly posting Nazis in AFU should be enough for anyone with more than 2 braincells. Top ranking Ukronazi official said all civilians in Crimea are considered valid targets, when they recently attacked a beach full of civilians with ATACMS missile.

Why would you support OUN Ukronazi regime is the question here? That's what most Europeans are asking themselves these days, while their economies slowly crumble and they suffer under neoliberal austerity measures.

  • If I remember correctly, they had their communist party split in two, so both the party in power and main opposition are communist.

However, the country is not doing that great, people are leaving for work etc, so what seems to me like liberals are gaining some traction now, at least locally, as my Nepalese colleague tells me.

  • Serbian monarchists/fascists are the mainstream these days. Croatia officially “observes” anti-fascism, but in reality the parliament sponsors a fascist event in Austria etc.

Both of the countries are not as openly fascists as Ukraine imo. Not even close.
