  • On top of all this you can't access your account without accepting new ToS. After login web page show full window modal form with one button "confirm" so you can't reject it. I'm sure most of HN readers can handle this minor obstacle ;-) After I asked vultr for access to my account without acceptance of new ToS they wrote me back legal slur suggesting I may host questionable content:

    (...) you take the necessary measures to protect minors from accessing harmful material on your website.

    (...) requirements apply to you, including removing any infringing content and safeguarding minors.

    and threaten me with "law enforcement agencies"

  • I had similar problem and want to block all communities from specific instance (lemmygrad to be precise). I used community search by instance name and block them one by one.It would be great to be able to select all results and block with one close click.

  • (Linux users !) What was the first Linux distro that you used ?

  • Slackware 7, year 2000. Never seen linux before. Thanks to help from IT geek next door managed to boot net-installer it from single 3.5". After many hours managed do finally get xfree86 working. As far as I remember it was running with KDE.

  • Opinion - What are your thoughts on password managers? Do you use one? Would you recommend it to others?

  • +1 for bitwarden.I use paid version for few years and I very happy how it works. Semi-safe TOTP MFA is working great. I'm still bit worried with cloudie thingy and considering selfhost bitwarden server for me and familly but this will open other can of worms.
