  • Mesh shirt against your skin is the shit. It keeps an air layer between your skin and base layer which helps you stay warm and feel dry while wicking the moisture away.

  • There are heated clothing as well that use regular power banks as energy source. Not that expensive but makes quite the difference. Another benefit is that you can turn it off when you go indoors instead of undressing to not start sweating like a pig.

    Just note that filters like “ICE” block every post with a word in it that contains those letters. You can prevent false positives by adding spaces on both sides of the word but then it doesn’t trigger if the post title starts or ends with that word. Either way it helps a lot. Half of the threads on my personal front page regularly get filtered out.

  • I think my bike might be Taiwanese and not Chinese but the brand (GZR) seems to have no online presence at all. When I google it I the only results I get are for the store that I bought it from who are also the ones who import these bikes.

  • Asbestos pipe isn't necessarily as dangerous as it sounds. I don't know how it reacts with fire (other than not burning), but asbestos in itself isn't dangerous - it's only when you breathe the dust that it becomes a problem.

    The entire exterior sheathing of my house is asbestos. I'm literally sitting inside an asbestos box right now.

  • Plenty of accounts that I see commenting here regularly. Not "big accounts" per se but rather just people I seem to be running into constantly. This is such a small platform that it's pretty easy to get niche fame. That's why I'm on my 10th account.
