I think they have systems in place to stop EMPs from affecting and potentially taking down AirForce One, and nuclear blasts create EMPs that if left otherwise unshielded would do exactly that.
Canadians being impolite? Them's war words from the northern neighbors.
That's an interesting point. When I first read the quote from Trump about 2 dolls instead of 30, I thought he was just out of touch - I mean are dolls still a popular thing in today's day and age? Is he just out of touch?
But no, there's a reason for the usage of the term. Quite an interesting point, especially considering the demographic that largely voted for him this second election was younger men.
What are other free and good ide's though?
They just meant the natives...not courageous people lol

Oh gotcha! Your comment made me realize I had Mr. Roger's confused with Bob Ross anyway, and was still wrong 😅. Thanks for clearing it up!

Wasn't Mr. Roger's a green beret in Vietnam though? Wouldn't these people idolize that aspect of him?
Ah so it's the perceived implicit cruelty of the whole thing. I can understand that viewpoint for sure and how it would be quite off putting for many. Thank you for the explanation.
I'm curious about this take. I've heard it a lot but never gotten an explanation on it. Can ypu elaborate?
Genuine question: who exactly would do that? Like I understand their are bailiffs who act as "police" in the courtroom but who would be the ones who physically arrested the Administration officials? The police or other members of the executive branch?
I feel like that whole concept flew the coop a looong time ago
Water regulations are all over the place when it comes to the different states. Sometime in the 90s ( I think it was then ) new regulations were put in place to reduce the maximum allowable water usage per flush of a toilet and the maximum allowed flow of gallons per minute for all plumbing fixtures.
They were put in place to reduce water waste but many people Trumps age disagree with the regulations due to the effect - like he mentioned - of most showers being limited to x gpm and the perceived change in the resultant shower quality.
Like most regulations manufacturers just make stuff that passes the most stringent requirments and sell them everywhere, so even if your state doesn't require a 1.5gpm shower head you might only be able to buy 1.5gpm shower heads.
I think this is what he's trying to change anyway.
That's a very interesting tidbit. Good to know, thanks for sharing!
They have been for at least the last 30 years?
Maybe that's the plan? Start a trade war that will inevitably lead to a real war? It sets a lot more precedent for the lean on all of the marshal law type powers he's chasing after.
I upvoted the post. I just meant to express my absolute lack of surprise at the situation or the news.
Yes, it's news and yes it should get attention, and lots of it! It's just not at all surprising that mega corporations want to protect the status quo that got them to where they are, whether we like it or not. Nor is it surprising that they will absolutely do everything they can to make us believe what they want us to believe. A few years ago that might have sounded super 'tin-foil-hatty' and this story might have been bigger news, but I'm not sure that's the case anymore.
In other SHOCKING news, the sky is blue.
Oh wow that's a great explanation, thank you! I have a bit of experience with Ubuntu and a fraction of that with Debian but absolutely no experience with any other Linux distro, so I appreciate your reply!
I run Ubuntu Server for my home lab and had a RaspberryPi running Debian for a short while as well but it was all CLI so I have almost no experience with the GUI. I was quite surprised to hear about pop ups for Ubuntu Pro.
I personally found setting up Debian for the Pi to be fairly straight forward and about as difficult as converting an old windows laptop into an Ubuntu Server..server, so they might have made Debian a bit easier to get up and running.
That being said I can't recall if I got that particular installation specifically for the Pi so that might have an impact there.
I genuinely appreciate your explanation! :)
Ahh so Mint is kept up to date like Ubuntu/Fedora and doesn't have all the telemetry and pop ups for Ubuntu Pro. Thank you!
So out of curiosity, why Mint over, say Debian? Has Debian added telemetry etc as well?
