I hope Lemmy at least adds the ability to follow other lemmings so their posts appear in the feed.
Though, then I don't see why it wouldn't work with mastodon users too, since they just seem to be treated as regular lemmings in their profile and all, aside from the tagging.

Doesn't bother me much honestly, I'd rather be able to follow some of my favourite artists on Threads from the comfort of Mastodon/Lemmy, even if that's only until Threads goes downhill.
Certainly the biggest con for me.
The exploration and combat are pretty darn good, but the most effective way to progress in that game is to do the same shit over and over again every single day.
I will say though, I had a great experience for about 60 hours in the beginning thanks to the great world design and some 50 more good hours sprinkled throughout the rest.
Mastodon already exists, they didn't need to bother

There is no 'main' website. It's all connected. People just started joining that because it's big and overloaded it, and now it's having federation and stability issues.
It's definitely possible at least, some solutions are suggested in this github issue
If the sub does stay open, this Lemmy community should at least be linked in the sidebar as the main hub.
I don't know if the mods of this comm even have any control over the sub anymore after the admin intervention, but I think this would be the most reasonable outcome.
It's currently listed as the fallback forum, which is a damn shame because the sub is a big source of users; it's why I moved too.
People who do want a better alternative with 3rd party apps can only move if it's properly listed.
Listing it even as a sister community would be better than what it is right now.
