A Bash Script to download VSIX files from Microsoft VS Marketplace and Install them into VS Code or Codium - MrScottyTay/VSIX-Install
An just 30-something Software Dev that enjoys gaming, woodworking, electronics and plenty of other hobbies. Too many hobbies.
You can hone in on its sensitivity too by the way. I know find it hard when I pay a console game without gyro. Ever since splatoon I've not looked back. I don't understand why people are so averse to trying it. In my eyes it's better than using a mouse, because then you still have all of the other benefits of a controller like analog movement etc.
The only ones i know if are the top end Xbox and PlayStation controllers which are exorbitantly expensive, especially when all you want is extra controllers.
I also have had issues with my standard dualsenses Bluetooth not acting great when using my Bluetooth headphones at the same time (which are also made by Sony)
Because they're all shit, each current controller has done kind of downside when wanting to configure it for games.
Either Steam input doesn't recognise extra buttons, or the ones that do have issues with being Bluetooth only.
I've tried the vader 3 which was great, but unrecognised so needed extra software to remap for each game which was never as simple as steam input and required me to use a mouse and keyboard which isn't great with a htpc setup.
And then recently I've tried the horipad for steam, this is almost perfect except for only two back paddles, the face buttons being weirdly shaped so the some of them stick when pressing them and the Bluetooth is shitty.
If steam input allowed the full use of generic controllers instead of ones that have been explicitly set up, I'd have no issues, I'd be able to find the one for me. But because they don't do that, I'm waiting for the steam controller 2 because a full layout just like the steam deck would be the dream.
Where did you get that from?
Or gyro?
The more they do shit like this the more they look "school playground gay"
I'm a massive fan of Star wars and even the original trilogy are just meh for me. I much more prefer episode 3, clone wars, rebels, rogue one, andor and games like kotor
Another comment explained what it is but to explain where the name comes from, you remember those capsule machines where you had to collect all the toys? Those were called gachapon machines, often shortened to just gacha (i might be slightly wrong on a little bit of the words, but they are the capsule machines)
For games and other media that gets "released". Cancelled is usually the term that gets used if it doesn't come out.
A film that is no longer in the cinema doesn't get said it was cancelled for example.
For games that cease to be playable after release they are more often described as being shut down or being sunset. Like I've never read about an ongoing game being cancelled unless they were specifically talking about an originally upcoming piece of dlc or content being cancelled.
Revolt
Shut down is the correct term. A cancelled game is a game that never released. No need to muddy that definition.
AI is here to stay but I can't wait to see it get past the point where every app has to have their own AI shoehorned in regardless of what the app is. Sick of it.
Is this an American thing?
Yeah it was out for a year or two and went free to play for another before being shut down
Egg in ice cream? What the fuck
Star wars 1313 was THE game I was waiting for. Got very sad when it got cancelled.
Also all is the in-progress and for some completed content that just got shelved for Disney infinity because the new management at Disney forgot why games mattered. (Same time when they absolutely gutted lucasarts). Just for them to start from scratch again a few years later when they realised they still need a videogame presence. Which makes the losses of what could have been hurt more.
That game came out. I still miss it though, but it isn't a cancelled game.
Still keep going for a private server. That game ruined other mmos for me.
I thought that game came out?
That's not cancelled, that's just a game that was taken down.
There's a bunch of private servers for it too. My first experience is the game was through one of them and it was pretty great.
I think a lot of it is too get and propogate misinformation because some people won't hear about the 180s and still talk about as if they happened

VSIX Install - Linux Bash script for downloading and installing Marketplace extensions
I made this because I started using Codium but wanted to use an extension that didn't have an OpenVSX equivalent and found out MS removed the VSIX download buttons on the marketplace site.
This should also work for Code-OSS and the MS VS Code. You can also just use it to only download the VSIX files so you can keep them locally for future use or take them to another computer that does not have internet connection for whatever reason to install there.
It will also check for dependencies and download them if you don't already have them installed.
At the moment it only downloads the latest versions of an extension.
Sharing because I imagine I'm not the only one with this issue.
I'm raising money for Millington's Magical Barn Animal Sanctuary by skating 100km through the month of August

Iʼm raising money to Millington's Magical Barn Animal Sanctuary by Skating 100km in August. Support this JustGiving Crowdfunding Page.

I did a similar charity skate challenge last year with a goal of 50km with me finishing at 80km. This year my overtime goal is 150km if I get enough good weather to push myself beyond the 100km.
Millington's Magical Barn are a lovely vegan ran animal sanctuary that currently look after around 90 animals that were victims of neglect, abuse or were headed towards slaughter. At Millington's they wil be looked after for the lenght of their long natural life. They even look after a few disabled animals too.
Please donate if you believe in this cause, as well as motivating me to push myself further fitness wise!
