What's unusual here is that Brooks is a conservative, the old kind who does believe in Constitution and three branches of government. And even he sees the rise of fascism. So, it's not a perfect fit for this instance, but it would be nice to think there's more conservatives like him out there because the Left can't take the Reich down alone.

Considering the homegrown was probably 70% ratshit, I'm not sure if it was really less dangerous. And of course there was always the risk of an explosion taking out the whole neighborhood.
