  • Does anyone have a link to that crazy map of China's trade ascendancy over the last 20 years? Friend wants to scrutinize it.

  • Until you realize that the media focus on Sanders from 2014-2020 was for the purpose of stoking fascism while maintaining an absolute stranglehold on socialist organization.

The state tends to do things.

  • I love how the PNW just largely doesn't refer to people as anything.

Half-hearted 'Pal' dominance in New England is also concerning.

Fitness Advice for my new routine

    Hey comrades-

    Here's my set-up:

    -Rowing Machine

    -Pull up bar

    -20 lbs kettlebell

    -Yoga mat

-Access to (shared gym space) a cable machine, treadmills, and a weight-bench w/ free weights

I'm re-establishing a fitness routine - my previous routine was mostly body-weight exercises and long ass jogs. This time I'd like to make use of the equipment listed above.

One problem I'm having is that the equipment in my apartment seems to be hitting all the same muscle groups, so I don't really have a good "circuit" going. My abs and legs are getting obliterated while my upper body could be doing more. Suggestions on what exercises to add in to balance things out would be welcome.

Aside from that, I'm, not really looking to "get huge" or anything like that - honestly my primary motivator is weight loss. But, I'm fine with building some muscle along the way - so I'm looking for a pretty basic nutrition regiment that isn't super time consuming and won't break the bank, either. I'm consid

  • The article implies as much.

I mean EA types are similar to people who participate in MLM schemes in a sense; there are people who are participating because they are organizing it in their favor and then there are others participating in it because they are hapless rubes who got duped. This author strikes me as the latter category of participant. And that is why I say "well-meaning", which is increasingly more often my polite way of saying naive fool.

  • Need a word for these "well-meaning" types who somehow ceaselessly, yet unknowingly, traffic in western chauvinism. They are always drawn to effective altruism and Sam Harris (pop psuedo intellectual propagandists, the "traditional intellectuals" of Gramsci), without fail, I swear.

When you talk to them at length you can eradicate any and all doubt that they are ideologically committed malicious actors that cynically prefer to masquerade as someone benevolent and intellectually curious.

At the end of the day, these types seem to genuinely lack any and all political instinct/intuition and hopelessly carry water for whatever appeal to authority that the private sector currently is broadcasting.

"useful idiots" is the closest thing I can think of but it would be nice to have something more distinct.

  • flouride

  • I had the misfortune of eavesdropping on a conversation recently where some guy who was working in a bourgeoisie brewing facility recently switched jobs to work at a waste water treatment center and he was advocating for removing fluoride from water with a level of rationale that I have to assume he picked up from co-workers parroting information they heard on the Joe Rogan podcast.
