So I have a lifetime Plex pass, but my friend (who is remote) does not. Does this change mean they have the have a Plex pass to connect to my device remotely?

While I have a smart TV, it’s not connected to the internet and I don’t use any apps on it. Instead I use a Roku to load my streaming services and so far I can’t really complain. No way I’d use any native tv apps.

I think the overall Lemmy experience has gone downhill since hexbear federated. I also think seeing the propaganda posts constantly hitting the All feed will drive people away. Are there even any non-political hexbear communities? All I ever see are anti-is and pro-China posts.
I still can’t wrap my head around being so pro-trans rights (a fabulous thing), yet in the same breath simping for China. Not the most stellar LGBTQIA+ record there.

I’m trying to filter out an instance, yet even with the instance listed in the filter section, I still see posts from them in my All feed. Am I doing something wrong?
Media Room Cooling Options
Any suggestions on how I could better cool my media room? It’s a small closet spaced room that has a vent from under the house and a ceiling vent (like you’d have in a bathroom). I have sealed off the door so that when the ceiling vent runs, it draws air from under the house as that’s cooler. This tends to work until it’s really hot outside, which then gets my room to about 92F. I’m looking into some very small portable AC units, but would need to vent the air up through the ceiling vent so I’d need the right hose and adapter. Thankfully the BTU of the unit can be quite small since the space is small and the reasonable temperature of this equipment is higher than what I’d consider comfortable to live in myself. Also any considerations for water condensation removal?
Anyone have a setup that they love? Hopefully this isn’t too off topic since it’s more about the meta of their self-hosted physical environment.
