People would use "Hide all political posts and comments" more often than any other filter

What I expected

  • Welp, the only and very important is that Linux is precisely like a car. You have to pay attention to it and de-facto make it by yourself. Even, let's say, Linux Mint installation. Yeah, you kinda have everything, but as time goes you will make it more and more your very own installation at all levels. Mac is kind of evil version of a Unix system. Windows… it's windows… everything is deadly nailed and cannot be changed, almost

  • That dude ain't joking. You can bypass similar bs by changing user agent

  • Let's make it clear. The only virus on a PC is its owner. It never emerges on itself

  • Yeah, I made a filter for the canvas and a bunch of other things. That's hella annoying. Feels exactly as Reddit, but now I can filter it

  • To be honest, I do the same thing. A couple of simple rules to keep the web entertaining:

    1. Filter everything that triggers you
    2. Ban porn
    3. Never, never look at comments on politics, religion and family. You're like to want to erase humanity afterwards

Lemmy is popular nowadays, yet is losing its active users

Similar to Mastodon's spikes last year, it seems. Anyways, there is data to think about. Source

  • Not exactly related. However, if you want to get all favicons for the bookmarks, you could use that extension

  • Long press on the comment will show you a menu. Sharing option is present

  • uBlock Origin is very powerful thing. It can remove link tracking (I posted links before if you're interested); it can remove parts of site; it can change JavaScript and its response. Basically, everything is possible.

  • Permanently Deleted

  • "Mental outlaw" guy aka "Luke Smith" hologram on Lemmy! WuW

Two bugs I have found recently

    1. Let me explain. When I enable the ratio of votes I can fully understand what's going on, however when I click it to make a vote it won't be counted (I checked it via browser). Furthermore, if I use swipe, it works, but opening a post after voting won't show me my vote, that's odd. Hopefully, it will be fixed.
    2. I consider it as a UI glitch. I use the bottom navigation only mode. When I'm on the main page and tap the main tab it shows me animation as if I were going back from somewhere instead of showing the updating page animation.

Thank you for the great app! I use Pixel 7, Android 13

  • Am right to assume, that you're asking to help you with sending you there? /s

  • Haven't you seen that here? /s

  • Simple Arch :)

  • Welp, actually Linux has a very decent stuck of printer drivers. Mostly, works out of the box unlike windowzzzz

  • Thank you for your lists, mind if i ask you where do you find this kind of info?

I am not sure if I got the question? I have been using uBO from the beginning and can clearly remember as year after year uBO was able to replace more and more extensions. Furthermore, I think (assume) that addon you are using has something to do with JavaScript and thus may be replaced with uBO. But you either know how to write the rules or know the list with those rules. Personally, I made a personal list for everything I need yet is not founded anywhere within available lists.

I highly recomend you to read the uBO documentation. It has all you may need to understand it better: uBlock Origin Wiki

  • uBO has all you need, ClearURLs is not needed. Use these filter lists instead:

    1. ➗ Actually Legitimate URL Shortener Tool
    2. ClearURLs for uBo (unofficial)

Also, Badger does the same as uBO, therefore you don't need it. The same thing goes for cookies. Use default Annoyances lists (Adguard + EasyList) and add that:

    1. I don't care about cookies
  • Exactly! I had checked Lemmy half of a year ago when first time found it, and it was empty. Nowadays, I fully switched. I'm not going back to be there.

  • Well, usually that happens when Americans come it. They freaking love to add politics to anything. Since they are mostly leftist, they bash anything they don't like out of the sake of doing so. Brave is great, I have been using its search engine from the beginning and the browser when Blink engine is enforced, and I cannot use Firefox.
