  • It's like riding a bike. My wife was resistant to stick shift... Then her dad got her a used car that was manual. Almost 20 years later it's all we've owned.

It seems difficult at first, until it's second nature. And I still make little mistakes here or there like staying in a gear for to long. But once you learn it, it's super easy.

Like others said, it's all a dance between pulling out the clutch portal and feeding fuel. I suggest learning exactly where the clutch begins to grip. Once you know where they spot is, it's much easier to feel how to drive.

    Best of luck!

  • While I understand that there could be a lucrative market here... It warms my heart to know that there are people who would just volunteer their time to help others... Because that's kind of what a dad would do. Just straight up give advice and experience with the thought that they would be helping the future.

  • Most posters here are talking about the benefits to the person taking classes as to why online classes aren't the norm, but let's be honest here.

When you own a monopoly, you don't give it up. More online classes would send the message that the "college experience" isn't as necessary, which would lose the college money.

  • Thank you for the context. I've been kind of out of the loop with Linux on general and have been using fedora... But now a question. What's the most stable form of package and which distros use it by default? I've been kind of confused my the whole all image, flatpack, etc thing.

what is the equivalent of Windows Active Directory in Linux?

Hey all, sorry for the low level question, but basically I'm looking for the easiest way to set up something like a Windows AD. This would be for something like 10 computers at a local church where I do a lot of their infrastructure work. Is also be interested in sound something similar on my home network, but a while directory is probably overkill. And any suggestions on learnings or other suggestions appreciated!
